It seems like LSU is getting cast aside by some of our recent targets in favor of schools in the ACC and in the Big 12. We're getting beat by the likes of Miami, Clemson, and Texas Tech. Don't these kids care at all about winning National Championships?

If you choose LSU, you're choosing to compete for National Championships - the SEC has won the last (4), and LSU is second behind Alabama in our division. We lost to Alabama this year due to injuries and an awful call (video proof). We lost to Alabama the year before in OT. We have a VERY good chance at beating Alabama or ANY other team in the nation every time we play them.

Miami is going nowhere, even if they play well. Clemson is going nowhere, even if they play well. Texas Tech is just plain going nowhere.

If you want to win, you'll chose LSU over those other, second-rate schools. Isn't winning what matters most?

I actually meant to use Texas A&M as my Big 12 reference, but I guess that, if Boone stays with Tech, TT works as an example, too.

you forget the first rule of recruiting: location, location, location

if we lose a guy from the east coast to an ACC school, then i'd bet distance played a factor

if we lose a kid from TX to a Big12 school in TX, then i'd bet distance played a factor

I would have to disagree with the MIAMI is going no where.. i mean they play in a BCS conference and got alot of exposure last year.. not to mention they have alot of history and more titles than a fair share of schools..

but yes, we should be out recruiting all of them

Just because LSU is your favorite school, it doesn't mean that it's the only school that's attractive.

Different schools offer different things and opprotunites my friend. AND FYI last time I checked Miami produces a lot of NFL caliber players.

Miami has 5 national titles. LSU has 3.

I've been lamenting our fall to A&M's level for weeks now. Why go to a school with zero chance of ever playing for a championship, and which has virtually no national TV exposure?? I just don't get these kids priorities???

For some reason I see DaveDoggy sitting at his computer, still drunk from the night before, with his clothes on from the night before, drinking a miller high-life from the night before while starting this thread.

So are you DaveDog's alter? There's only one way to find out...Are we "loaded" at WR next year?

Close to home?:

Ferguson is from Maryland and is most likely going to Miami...? Fobbs and Jackson are from LA and are leaving the state to play on a lame Texas A&M team...? Parker has been contemplating LSU for months without any notion of not wanting to leave SC...? Boone is from FL - LSU is closer than TT...?

Playing time?:

Ferguson will see earlier time at Miami, but he'd most likely see plenty of time down the road at LSU, where he has a chance to win. In regards to Boone and Fobbs, LSU is in NEED OF WRs! LSU is also in need of MLB prospects, and that's Parker.

I really don't think that the normal variables apply so much for the guys that we've had on the board for the last several weeks and that are now leaning towards committing to other schools. They have very similar scenarios in regards to distance from home and playing time at LSU as they do at those other schools that they're possibly going to choose, and LSU offers them the additional bonus of having a chance to win a National Championship.

You are wrong Mr. negative egg. We beat Bama in Baton Rouge and Florida in Atlanta and we're a lock. A&M will always play second fiddle to the Horns.

What I mean is when you play in the SEC West, you or the East champion will be the next national champion. Check your history egg!
