Rosters are expanded to 40 for next season. We currently have 53 guys with eligibility remaining (including seniors who could use the COVID year).

When you combine the draft's toll on the roster and recruiting class, plus the seniors that don't want to come back, and the current roster guys that may want to try elsewhere, I don't think there would be a need to get rid of any current commits.

We will probably be on the lookout for more guys to bring in.

I believe that they have to reevaluate the players during camp visits. A reason why camps are so needed. LSU has already processed two players when they were seen in recent camps. However I am sure that some players are "in" no matter what.

Now we just need someone to answer this from a basketball standpoint and we've got it covered.

I think if we can actually Land some of the guys that are current baseball commits and not lose them to the draft any coach would be willing to keep them.

If they have already signed then LSU is obligated to retain them or still count them in their annual limit. The signee has the option to request a release when there is a coaching change.

If just committed that is up to the player or the new coach. Neither is obligated to the other.

What the frick happened to OL Lucas Taylor of Mobile?

Who commits to LSU and then de-commits to go to Mississippi Fricking State?

I guess he was a Cregg Boy and not an LSU Boy. (And NOT a Brad Davis Boy)

He didn’t exactly de-commit he got beat badly in a camp and was asked to look elsewhere.

The new coach is likely to have some players he really likes from scouting. I'm sure he'll make room for those.
