There are a handful of LSU alumnae who are billionaires. I was talking to one of the executives at LLOG years ago, and he told me that they had identified over a dozen reservoirs that, like Delta House, they could exploit for a half billion dollars each. I asked, “Why don’t y’all do it?” He said, “That’s what I asked Gerry Boelte, and he said, ‘What would I do with another half billion dollars?” So yeah, I’d guess Boelte was a billionaire.

Gary Chouest did not attend LSU. One kid went to LSU, but his others attended Nicholls.

I’m always astounded at the number of people unaware how much money actually exists in this state.

We may not have many billionaires who are loud and proud, but there’s plenty money in this state and among LSU alumni in places like Houston, Dallas, atlanta, etc.

I can assure you guys we aren’t losing out because the money doesn’t exist.

just because of all the family connections to the program
