Does anyone have a clue as to how much NIL LSU uses to entice recruits?

I know we spread some $ around but I'm wondering what Kelly's approach to the amount, etc really is? I know we were said to have presented a nice deal to CB Ricks... Has QB Hurley already been given a money number? Just curious as to how the Tigers handle the new wild wild west of college sports.

Scone mentioned that our collective is around $2 mil. AU is around $13.

It’s not legal to entice with nil to sign so I doubt you get a number on a guy in high school

We have to improve those numbers or we are in big trouble. Also not buying that big a difference between us and Auburn. If it's true I'm extremely disappointed in our boosters. The FL kids we've paid for over the years gobbled up numbers in that 2 mil range collectively and that's far less kids than a recruiting class.

I've heard that the money from LSU isn't guaranteed up front and is once you're on campus. That's just a rumor though.

Just to give you an example:

Shelton Sampson has signed at least five (5) NIL deals already that are reported on On3's website. Announced NIL Deals are with Gordon, Smalls Sliders, Matchpoint Connection, Elete Sports, and Louisiana Rich. On3 only reports a maximum of 5 signed deals per athlete and can only disclose $ figures when same are known. All five of Sampson's NIL deals have no $ figures disclosed.

Louisiana State law prohibits the disclosure of $ amounts on a private contract between the parties.

Most of the deals that On3 have $ amounts for are group payments from collectives (each member of the team gets x amount). Example would be a Texas Tech collective pays each member of the team $25k per year. In the Texas Tech example if the NIL payments are only for the 85 scholarship athletes the amount of annual payout would be $2,125,000 from that collective.

Short answer: there is no way to tell exact amounts, since much of the information does not get disclosed to the public.

I wonder how that would even work.

I can't see it only being 2 mil but kelly does operate differently.

Thank you state law!! So, basically the collective is poor, but the groups of Nil sponsors we have are vast, but we can’t see it because of state law. Is that correct?
