Saban is going to hit Louisiana so hard in 2019. I just dont see us winning all the head to head battles against him. He will get at least 2 elite players out of this state next class, bank on it.

If we win more games, we will get a better rated class. Pretty simple.

What a lot of fans fail to realize is that Coach O is still cleaning up the mess Les Miles left.. A lot of these kids wouldn’t be committing to Bama if Les hadn’t lost 6 straight and failed to change an offense that was stuck in the 70’s.. Fans don’t realize the affect that it has on kids..I don’t know y people thought O was gonna come in and fix it over night.. That’s y Bama has the slogan Built By Bama .. U guys have to give O a chance

Hi, Derek. I'll take this point by point.

quote:

What a lot of fans fail to realize is that Coach O is still cleaning up the mess Les Miles left

1. Then why did 0 act like this team would be championship-ready with just a few minor tweaks? Why did he essentially keep Miles' entire staff in place?
2. Miles hauled in four top ten recruiting classes before 0 took over (#7, #2, #5, #2). The team was not in any way lacking for talent.

quote:

A lot of these kids wouldn’t be committing to Bama if Les hadn’t lost 6 straight

Les isn't the coach anymore. 0 has now lost two straight to Bama.

quote:

failed to change an offense that was stuck in the 70’s.

So hire an offensive coordinator in his 70's

quote:

Fans don’t realize the affect that it has on kids

Yes they do, but your point is moot because Miles was STILL pulling in top classes regardless of losing to Bama and having outdated offenses.

quote:

I don’t know y people thought O was gonna come in and fix it over night

Because he said as much. Because he promised this team would be competing for a championship "next year". Because he took over a talent-laden team and only hired a new OC.

quote:

That’s y Bama has the slogan Built By Bama

They have that slogan because everything is built and planned by their head coach, who controls every aspect of the program. LSU does as well, but we can see how that worked out.

U guys have to give O a chance

He's been on the job 1.5 years and look what he has to show for it: worst loss ever to State, loss to Troy, lost again to Bama, lost bowl game to Notre Dame, worst signing class in a decade and a half. I fear for what else he has left to prove. Maybe that he can take LSU as low as he took Ole Miss?

“Come to Alabama where you get to play in the BCSNCG without even winning your division.”

Hard to top that. It’s why they get players that would rather play in their third year there than being a Day 1 starter here.
