well it is kind of self fulfilling isn't it? The thought process (the famous sabin 'process') being: If we all go to the same school with all the other top players we will win a championship. We don't really have to compete for it. Unless we 'screw the pooch', we win

I did until today. I know it's only "1 player" (but really, it's a number of mistakes/errors/misinvestment epitomized by this "1 player") - but there is only so much talk can do.

Ultimately you have to deliver. And I'm not talking about O. I'm talking about Alleva. O is a symptom. Alleva is the disease.

I feel very confident we don't get top 5 class even with the in state talent

My prediction is if we don't have a top 5 or 6 class next year, 2019 will be Orgeron's final year as HC at LSU and fortunately it will be Alleva's last year also!!!

How about hire a staff, kinda like UGA did, that kids believe can compete?

Bookmark this post and check back next year on signing day. At least half of the top 10 in La will sign elsewhere. Calling it now. O needs to go and I hope f king and Alleva aren’t far behind him.

I agree with your analogy, until LSU parts ways with Alleva and King we will always be complacent to hire the Os of CFB. It’s not Os fault Alleva hires him.

I do believe the swamp will be drained after the 2018 season.

At least half. It's remarkable how many people keep buying into this propaganda machine. Good god this is two years in a row Orgeron lost a guy who was considered a lock for over a year. The one thing he was supposed to be good at has been a colossal disappointment. But yea, he's learned from mistakes and he's gonna lock down the state, blah blah.

frick this. I'm just laughing at this clown show until we get a competent coach. I really hope everyone who thought this was a good idea realizes now how utterly stupid they were to fall for this campaign.

The sad truth is the opinion of Orgeron has been formed and anything short of a playoff next season he has to be done. These recruits want stability and a chance to win big. This hire didn't wow anyone and we are seeing the effects now. It would take a miracle for this hire to work now. Unfortunately it will cost this program a few years to rebound. There is no reason LSU isn't in the playoff discussion every year. Any coach in the country can pull a top 15 class with our in state talent. Never the less I will pull like hell for them every Saturday next year knowing that with the "right leadership " in place we will be back soon!

Tell me who the coach will be and I can answer this question better. Riddle me this. When these kids watch the midget hoist another crystal ball approximately one month after the Tigers' bus returns from a season ending loss in Shreveport, which one should they choose?

Only Georgia signed a Top Five Class in SEC. You do not have to sign a Top Five Class just meet your needs like this year. Sign some more top OL and DL players.

LSU will get it share next year, but like Landry said, there will always be those "groupie" types that are going to go to where all the other talent is at in order to ensure a championship ring

Maybe the groupie types like good coaching.
