Or is this a pipe dream? I haven't heard anything substantial being said about this. I assume we're pushing hard.

Seems to be dominating at UA AA practices.

the consensus is there is a slight chance but in interviews at the UAAA game he confirms that he is solid to bama which would be the normal thing to say.

Sounds like the staff is working hard on flipping him. Historically, we have had no luck in trying to flip recruits from Bama, but I'd say we have a better shot at Allen than we have had with others.

It hurts my soul every time I read these updates about him dominated at UA practices

If him and Moses are all americans at Alabama next to each other, it will be a horrible pill to swallow each season. I think Allen is every bit as good as Moses too.

Didnt he say he would rather ride the bench at Bama than play right away at LSU?

If true, he must really hate LSU

Why would anyone rather ride the bench at Bama than play right away at LSU? That's just stupid on so many levels. He wants the script A on his jersey and nothing more

I'm not holding my breath...but my dream scenario would be him flipping to us on NSD. And also Moses flipping the day before he is supposed to enroll at Bama.

I heard on Tiger Rag radio last night that LSU is having him come on an official visit in January (per Shea Dixon). That's at least something, maybe a 25% chance.

And on Dandy Don's site this morning, he says that Levi Jones (LB from Austin) doesn't hear from LSU anymore. This could possibly be a clue about LSU's confidence in flipping Allen.

What is the source of the LSU hate from he and Moses? They both have a chance to be legends in Louisiana, yet they go to the dark side with our hated enemy?

It's the culture at Bama. Once these guys decide to go over the dark side, the Bama staff, players, and other recruits foster a culture of hatred towards other SEC programs. We've seen this trend over the past 5 years. In some cases, it starts when these guys are HS sophomores or juniors thanks to gump loving coaches and handlers, particularly in the Monroe area.

It's really not that difficult to understand. They have an opportunity to go play for one of college football's greatest coaches to ever walk a sideline. It 50 years they will still be talking about Saban's run.

If he flips, does he give the car back?

I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I still believe Alabama throws a little money at prime recruits. It's so hard to prove these days. D.J. Fluker as much as admitted it a few years ago when Yahoo Sports did that in-depth investigation on Alabama recruiting. I think it's possible we'll see something break a few years after Saban retires, akin to how things broke at USC after Pete Carroll got out of Dodge. I don't care how good a recruiter Saban is, I find it very hard to believe that he can get the number one recruiting class in the nation for seven years in a row without doing some things that are not kosher.
