Ferzell(sp?) Sheppard is being looked at as a corner. I agree they will head back home for wideouts in the end. I like Stokes Jr. (DB) Out of Texas I hope he ends up in the class.

Boy, THAT’s not true.

Remember when great cornerbacks were a dime a dozen? Then there was last season, AND this one coming up.

Actually, it is very true. WRs are becoming a dime a dozen. Good ones at that. With 7 on 7 happening all year round, all these famous youtubers making 1 on 1s fun and popular for the young kids, and the expansive offenses that feature them in abundance, WRs are becoming more skilled and faster in their development.

Hell, to put some money on it, did you see what the going rate was for a WR in comparison to other positions?

Nobody ever said that. What they did say were CBs were a dime a dozen. Many elite guys that play WR and CB, end up wanting to play offense over defense.

Also, with a good defensive scheme, we have several good enough corners on roster to be a good pass defense. Both Ohio St corners are starters if completely healthy.

Justin Jefferson was only ranked low because of his grades. Most recruitniks said he should have been a 5 star.

___________

Lol. Not true. Grades were a reason he was not recruited heavily, but he was not a 5 star. What recruitniks had him this high?

Sometimes the recruiting guys miss.

Jetts was a late bloomer physically and emotionally. He was very immature at Destrehan but between his freshman and sophomore year at LSU, he took off. He was always a smooth route runner, but he became polished in college when he got a lot stronger.

I heard plenty of people on this very site, say he should be a five star when we were recruiting him. It’s all good though I realize why none of those same posters speak up anymore on this site.

Wow! Didn't know that thanks. I also wouldn't be surprised if Zay ends up in the class.

I have to look uo Stokes.

I think they are holding out to see who they can land higher up on list before they offer him. I still thinks he ends up in the class.

I'm also keeping my eye on CJ Wiley since he is legacy, been on campus multiple times, and OV coming up.

People that watched his film on here were saying he would have been ranked higher just for example.
____________

That is not an example of anyone saying he was a 5 star. He was ranked like 400+.

I agree grades affected his ranking, but he wasn't close to 5 star as a recruit. He played like a 5 star, though! He was amazing.

Invest this crazy money on OOS DL.

Roll with Manchild and I like the Wright kid at Destrehan.

Jefferson was a 3 star! It’s called having the heart to achieve and being developed by our coaching!
Plenty talented receivers in Louisiana!

I’ll take a 4* in-state WR all day over a Texas 7 on 7 5*. The proof is overwhelming.
Never got the drooling over some OOS WR 5* with the track record over the past decade of underrated Louisiana WRs.

If we are going to invest big NIL money in OOS kids, make it at DT and possibly CB.

He is just playing the game to get the most money out of Texas, just like his teammate Colin Simmons last year.he had no intentions on coming to LSU.he's just trying to put the squeeze on his true choice

I can't help but think we get lockett after watching this video. Just the sound in his voice when saying his first official will be at LSU. I may be overthinking but man...just seems like he was trying to hide his excitement when talking LSU. Hope we can get him.

Hopefully that will be a factor in landing lockett. Hate to say but I don't think moore will be a tiger. Just playing the recruiting game. We end up getting the better player anyway based on history.

I hope you are right but nothing about that said LSU leads to me.

We just need one of him or Moore. Texas can have Ffrench and the other of the two.
