He'll play in the slot, in the backfield, line up at WR, and get a few snaps at QB. Percy type use.
Will be a slot guy in the NFL. Has outstanding hands, cuts. The most versatile back I have seen in a while.

word has it that Baxter looked bored for most of his visit at Eugene
So he's Rueben Randle reincarnate?

A little known fact is that Baxters dad played at the Univ of Fla...didnt letter and used to live in Jacksonville. But dont think we are after him that much with all the skill positions we have lined up...we need more OL..maybe 1 more LB and maybe 1 wr.

I agree, it sounds like USC is pretty much out of it. How UF ends up finishing this class out is going to be pretty interesting, lots of interested people little spots. If he wants to come he might have to move fast.

Who are the other guys still considering Florida besides Michael Taylor and Dillon Baxter?

We have a bunch of guys who may or may not be in this class. Essentially guys who are down to a 50/50 choice between Florida and one other school. Not favored to get any of these guys at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of them jump aboard this class.
Seantrel Henderson
Jordan Hicks
Dillon Baxter
Christian Jones
Christian Green
Chaz Green
Ivan McCartney
Adrian Coxson

Thanks. So you don't think Taylor will be offered a spot?

I don't know what's going on with him. It sounds like he wants to commit and people that know him seem to think he's committed to Florida, but I don't know if he has a legit offer.

Looks like Florida just accepted his official commitment.
So I see us taking one more WR/OL and then holding the last two spots open JUST in case Henderson or Hicks want to come.

I'm thinking Florida will fill up before he makes a commitment.
You SC guys thinking Oregon?

yes.
But I canot imagine UF not making room for this guy somehow, if he really wanted to go there.

Maybe commitment wise but you lost OWA, he won't even consider SC now. You may have lost others you just don't know it yet. Haven't heard anything more about this guy, maybe you have.
Giovanni Di Poalo
Oregon may also be getting some interest from center Giovanni Di Poalo. The 6' 4" offensive lineman is a high school teammate of Oregon commit Troy Hill. When Oregon missed out on Micah Hatchie they left one offensive line spot open that they could fill if the right commit came along. Di Poalo would clearly fit that bill. He's been committed to USC for awhile but appears to have opened things back up as well.

Florida probably told him they didn't have a scholarship to give him.
Just kidding... maybe. USC got a good player.

I love that Paul Rudy got the exclusive. That is awesome.
Maybe Dillon will pull the Reggie special - Silver Pigskin winner to Heisman Trophy winner.

Florida is probably going to end up with 3 of the top 4 players from California, which is absurd and a death knell for USC
And hey! Baxter is comin' to SC anyway. So no worries.
