LSU will sign someone else to take his spot. Some of y'all focus too much on the players we didn't sign and not nearly enough on the ones we did sign. frick him. LSU will be fine without him. All of this overreacting and saying LSU will regret having to play him etc...lol ok, sure, one player is going to make or break our program then right? Get real. We have so much talent in our program that losing one player isn't going to do any damage. We will find another stud to replace him and forget all about major burns. Screw him, he obviously didn't want to come here bad enough to wait until Feb, so forget him. We will be just fine I promise...especially in the secondary ffs. LSU is dbu baby...geaux tigers.

I am confident the LSU staff know alot more about these players and if they will fit than some of you "coaches" here.

I'm sure they do. That doesn't mean that they don't make mistakes.

I bet we never hear Major Burn's name again. He wasn't that special imo

This comment is a helping of stupid wrapped in sour grapes. Burns was the 155th ranked player in the nation.

Of course he wasn’t because he chose another school lol. The same is said almost every time about recruits that choose someone over us.

There's a kid named Lorando Johnson who's a good unsigned nickel

I’ve been wondering why nobody is talking about him. What’s the story with that guy?

this works for a guy who didn't commit to us at any point

we rescinded our scholarship offer to this kid a week before early signing day. the discussion is on THAT

Sounds to me like we didn't rescind it but rather asked him to wait for the February signing period. In other words, he was a backup plan in case somebody flipped -- which is exactly what happened. But he didn't want that so he chose elsewhere. I can't really fault the coaches for that and I can't fault him for looking someplace else.

For shits and giggles, let’s imagine that Burton and Jarrett hadn’t flipped at the last minute. And let’s imagine that we got Burch, and felt good about Evans. None of those things would have been a huge stretch two weeks ago. Keeping in mind that we also picked up Webb and Dumervil on ESD.

Had we not asked Lee and Burns to keep their options open, we would currently have 26 “hard commits” not counting a possible silent from Zach Evans and any other guys still on their board.

Assuming the coaching staff believed this was a real possibility, they had three options:
1. Suggest to Burns and Lee that they look elsewhere and/or keep their options open.
2. Pull offers from Burns and Lee on early signing day once the chips fell.
3. Turn away at least two of the following:
- Burch
- Evans
- Webb
- Dumervil

Which of those options seems like the best thing for the program?
