Catholic doesn't have to allow LSU's recruiters on campus.

I kinda beg to differ. If I have a son that's a D1 prospect at Catholic and they're not letting LSU coaches on campus, he's playing elsewhere the next season.

Wouldn't be the first time it's happened.

Would seem to have made more sense to bring in a kicker to replace Ramos and handle FG duties since Ramos will be a senior. Burell is the KOS and will only be a sophomore. But, who knows?

Hayes Fuqua from WM is walking on. Big OL with a nasty streak.

In response to the original post Ashton Frye of Mildred high school in Texasl reports having been offered a PWO by LSU's Jordan Arcement. This is also in another thread. I didn't find his measurables, but this is a little info I did find on his X page

wouldn't be hard for somebody to paint a story of this staff being bad for WR.

We're in the middle of a unique situation with 4 of the top 10 WRs in the NFL being from LSU and you come up with this? And to infer a PWO offer was to appease one high school? Wow. Bad take Wade over here.

Maybe I just haven't followed closely enough, or perhaps I don't fully understand the recruitment of high school kickers, but why doesn't LSU focus in on the top five kickers in a given year and go after them? Or maybe the top five in the south?

It just seems like this staff doesn't value kickers as much as they should. A really good one can be invaluable to a team, but it seems like LSU wants to shop in the bargain bin for kickers and just try to get lucky with a walk on.

Certainly I'm missing something. What is it? Why don't they recruit kickers with the same focus as other positions?

Kickers are recruited differently, from High School to camps they need to attend. Also, it seems that some schools (coaches) value them more as compared to other coaches and schools. If you look, there are teams that consistently have the best kickers.

Sure, we would know it's BS, but some circles would make noise

If a kid is stupid enough to believe that with the talent LSU has put out recently then he is too fricking stupid to play at LSU.
