I don't know what he told the LSU or Texas staff and I don't trust those who run recruiting sites to tell me.
He is gone, was one of the best commits LSU had, time to move on. He made the decision he felt was best for him. The LSU staff had trouble closing this year for some reason, one year isn't going to kill the program. No sense in being bashing his coach, whoever else based on rumor

I would bet the opinion of a certain former LSU player and family had alot to do with Holmes, Davis, and Devall's attitude toward the program.

In short, his dishonesty was calculated to hurt the LSU program. There's no getting around that, regardless of any other merits you may attribute to him.
I ,too, am a WHS alumnus and recall Gillyard,Prather, Ricky Simmons to LSU.

Gilliard, Trey Prather and Ricky Simmons are the three WHS palyers I can think of...
Roovelroe Swann (All Name Team with Barkevious M.) went to Huntington or Green Oaks, I think.

Decarlos Holmes is also the guys whose "imporper assistance" to students cost Bastrop the 05 state title. He got transfers to Bastrop after Katrina.
