Did the LSU connections at Houston Northshore leave?

Seem to remember we got a few Northshore kids back in the day and was rumored there was some LSU guys on the staff?
I don’t think the CB Sanchez even visited LSU this cycle?

He’s still there. The DC went to Christian Life and LSU.
As for Sanchez …. Big bag of money.
However, there’s a kid at Northshore that is better than Sanchez . Remember the name , Chase Calicut.

Seems a little disingenuous to say Sanchez is just a bag chaser. I don’t remember that dude putting on a spectacle like DK.
And for whatever weird reason, OSU has recruited well out of Houston for at least the last 20 years.

Ohio State’s model works. If 90% of their class was in-state, they would be Indiana+ or a slightly speedier Wisconsin.
Pre-NIL they sold how many Fortune 500 companies were based in Ohio and the post-football career opportunities for OOS kids. In NIL they clearly just have all of those Fortune 500 companies contribute to the NIL fund.

Early on in Sanchez’s recruitment when steeples was still here he said LSU didn’t really hit him up like that , I think by the time CR got in it was a lost cause at that point

Raymond is washed so it didn’t help any more than hurt.

According to Tigerdroppings, I guess every kid that doesn't consider coming to LSU is only in it for the money.

Often, timing is everything.

I don't think you understand how good Ohio talent is. You have the big 3, Georgia, Louisiana, & then Ohio rounding out the top 6.

Every kid is in it for the money. Even the ones who come to LSU.

Every kid is different. Just because one doesn't put on a spectacle, doesn't mean they didn't take the biggest bag. Also, Teauxler simply said "big bag of money"....which may just be factual.
It also sounds like we didn't prioritize him until it was too late, but we'll never know the real reason. Either way it doesn't matter.

I agree... people act like players just started getting paid. This sh*t been going on for 25+ years. I'm just tired of people whining about it... Pay up or get left behind.

Likely be more like LSU. Ohio is a loaded state year to year. On par or better than LA(certainly more in raw numbers). Both have to venture out to make up for the instate shortcomings. Them for skill athletes, us for the big uglies. They choose a more national approach. Tressel was inclined to take more Ohio kids. Both can work.

Other than Sawyer the DE, were any of the other starters from Ohio? They usually sign 3-6 Ohio kids per year to cheer for the home team on Saturdays and serve as tackling dummies Monday-Friday.

We have a Northshore player committed in this class…

quote:obviously these people who are downvoting you have no idea about the talent in Ohio. Cincy & Cleveland are always pumping out blue chips high school players. And the greatest player to ever play at LSU is from Ohio.

Sanchez is better than Calicut and will probably be a day 1 starter in Columbus.

Just telling you what the DC has told me

I would think that if their model worked, they would have done more than choke seemingly every year when it counts. One championship in the last 22 years. This will be the 5th year in a row with a top 5 recruiting class.
