Watching Tennessee play saw that he played at Dutchtown. Did LSU not offer this kid? Any story to this?

He was small coming out of HS (5’ 8” 170) and LSU was not sold on him playing RB. Sampson obviously developed into a solid top SEC RB

LSU was the first school to offer Moss after his sophomore year. He visited LSU and originally committed to Alabama. Took a visit to A&M and he changed his commitment to Aggie.

I know for an absolute fact Sampson from day 1 wanted to leave the state. That’s the reason LSU didn’t recruit him. He told them this early in the game.
