This is what bugs about the Dhaquille/Speedy rumors. If it is in fact true that Speedy told the staff that he wouldn't come if Dhaquille did and we backed off of Dhaquille for that reason, the staff should be livid.

Although the D'haquille signed with AU, the LSU Staff backed off him because Speedy wasn't sure he'd be okay with Quille.

i really think our staff thought they had the Karr boys. They did everything they could. these kids just played the recruiting game and LSU was left with egg on their faces. i dont blame our staff we all saw them going to Karr's games, the school, home visits and giving them a great official visit. we just came up short

It just is an.example how so screwed up recruiting is now. A verbal commit used to mean something. Now committing to a coach silently doesn't even mean anything.
We are getting to the point where everything is so dirty, built up, and overdone that you have no idea what will pull an 18 year old one way or the other because there are so.many factors now.
