Williford is another guy that Les hopefully picked out. I still remember being furious when we first picked up his commitment
I still stand by what I said though--he will take a few years to develop and even then we don't have much of an idea what he will be. All we know is he is a big frame.

every program has a few guys to fill the class. Usually never expected to be more than SP guys at best.
I agree with this.
But as deuce was saying--this one is above and beyond--normally we have at least heard the guy mentioned before. We've got guys on this board that follow national recruiting almost as much as LSU recruiting and no one knows of him...

His response is to me. And we would've heard something before this commit if LSU was on him. I guarantee it. Logan was known before he even got to camp. He wasn't even in Rival's database. Claiborne wasn't a unknown like a lot of people on here thought. LSU was all over him after camp. When he committed, people on here thought he came out of the blue, when he was known for awhile.
I'm going to guess LSU just fell in love with him at camp and took his commit. Which I never agree on if that is true. You need to evaluate people beyond one camp. Simulating the game at a camp is completely different than playing it. Not like people were knocking his door down, why not take a little more time to evaluate him like they did Logan/Claiborne?

..no but seriously, this is kind of a head-scratcher. No knock on the guy though. He must have looked pretty good to get an offer..that's all I can really say because it's not like anyone has any idea what he's about.
Hopefully it's a good pick up, we'll see I guess.

Seriously though i want to get back in Alabama. We use to do pretty well especially in the Mobile area.

Expanded in GA more ever since Saban has come to UA.
Its going to be near impossible to steal kids in Bama that Saban is all over--just the harsh reality of it.
