Someone needs to explain to him that there are 10 RBs in the NFL who make 4 million or more, and 40+ linebackers who make that.

Everyone needs to chill on the LB talk. It takes a certain instinct to be as good of a LB as many are suggesting he would be.

You have to want it. If his heart is not there, it will never pan out.

Well, Corey Webster had his heart set on WR and Marcus Spears absolutely wanted to be a TE. Both had to be convinced to move to the other side of the ball. Panned out pretty well for both.

258 lbs >>> OLB ???

There's no telling how much he actually weighs.

I've seen his weight range anywhere from 218-258

This cat is a first round draft choice at mlb. He would be a first team all america at mlb, and leave after his jr. year. His size, ability to cover, and speed is un-matched. He looks ray lewis good at mlb.

Sure but he doesn't need to hear it from thousands of fans trying to force it on the kid. People act as if he won't be as great a RB than LB.

Let's let him get on campus first and let the him and the staff decide where he fits best. You only hear LB talk because we lack LB. If not for that, you wouldn't hear all this talk.

Ducre or White should definitely move to LB.

I've seen this posted several times, did anyone see either of these guys play defense in HS? What I saw from Ducre it appeared he was a bit lacking in aggression. Am I reading him wrong?

i don't think he will be

he's way too big to be RB. like i said in the other thread, if he wants to play RB he needs to lose 20+ lbs by august

no he's just too big for RB and if he plays there he's likely to end up at FB and that's a waste of his talents

he has some history at LB and he his size wouldn't hurt him there, so it's a natural fit for his body/talent

I've watched Ducre at FB a couple of times and he gets blown up in the hole consistently. If he can't make it as a fullback. It's no way he can play LB.

He's also kind of short to play LB. TEs are getting taller and faster and a 6' LB is a complete mismatch. I agree with him trimming down, but I'm not going to act like he has to be 235lbs.

He seems to carry his weight pretty well and has been timed with a sub 4.5 40.

Kevin Minter is 6'0"

Was a pretty good RB.

Obviously you have to want to play a position. My comment I made about potential earnings is a pretty big incentive to play LB

^^^Agree.

Devin's heart didn't appear to be in it this year when he was playing LB. Plus, don't forget that LSU told Devin he was the ONLY RB they were recruiting this year. Although we all know CLM can be unconventional, do you really think he'd purposely use his ONLY RB recruit this year to fill a need at LB? All you guys who want him at LB must think you know more than the staff's at LSU, Bama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, et al who all wanted him for RB.

As far as size, once he gets to LSU and gets into a good work out/nutrition program I think he'll get to around 240-245# and be an absolute physical freak.
