Recruiting in Texas is done earlier than other places. Mack Brown started it about 10 years ago. Go look at last year. On Texas' FIRST Jr Day they had 17 players commit on the spot and they didn't sign 40 players.
pump the brakes. big difference between agsy and UT. regardless of last year's records, you guys ain't up to the level of the longhorns.

I'm glad I'm not in their situation right now.

He will end up at A&M if he qualifies. I guarantee that. It won't hurt LSU one bit though.

TJ Rib, please show me where anybody said we were on the same level in recruiting as the longhorns. I said that in the state of Texas, recruits commit earlier and it has been that way for about 10 years. As an example I said the longhorns had 17 commits in March of last year. This year A&M has 19 in May. It's not unusual and doesn't mean we are going to sign 38 players a la Houston Nutt. Out of our current commits Devante is the only one with work to do in the classroom. He was held back a year when he was younger and then played varsity football as an 8th grader. So although he is a Jr by year, he is a Sr for football. He is taking summer classes and classes in the evenings to make up for a whole year. That's pretty impressive and the kind of kid I want on my team. Strong work ethic.

Again, the butthurt on this thread is astounding. You guys make me ashamed to be from Louisiana

You guys are trying way to hard to put somebody "in their place". A&M has a verbal committment from a player that LSU recruited for a different position. Pretty much a non-issue to me. I'm not sure why some of you are trying to make it an issue.

Nail on the head.

I wish some of you would police your own a little better. That phantom quote/diatribe that was pulled from another thread or site and posted here, first of all is a chicken shite move, secondly it is one jackholes opinion. When you have 45K on campus at any given time there will be plenty that you would rather not claim. BR isn’t immune to this, see flag burner.

If LSU offered at WR and he wants to play RB, why blame the kid for pursuing his dreams. Hope some of you parent different than you post.

I was impressed with the kids tape, but when I saw him play in person against a very disciplined ND - Crowley defense last year he was a bit less impressive.....still a nice get for A&M that concerns me that it seems he didn't consider LSU more IDK.

I know the offer was commitable because I was at LSU with Davante' and his dad the day he was offered. Miles asked him if he wanted to commit ? Davante' didn't for whatever reason. I really think it's becasue they want him to play wr and the kid wants to play rb in college..

You don't know what you're talking about. Crowley and Notre Dame didn't play each other this past season. So how could he look less impressive against them... LOL

Bourque being better than Gray is the type of thing I like to post every once in a while, in the off chance it becomes true in a few years, I can point to it and show how "smart" I am

A required skill for the interwebz, really

damn the Ags absolutely own Louisiana

Seems like a few of their fans are trying to own this board.

There' as many of them as any SEC team this year.

They are a hell of a lot more polite than the Aubies last year!

Did Sherman instruct you Aggie guys to come take over this board?
