Confidence is medium, and it’s early.
But this was expected.
Saban got Danny Lewis, and now is going to try to get Williams.
IMO, I don’t think Kelly allows Saban to take the top safety in the country from LSUs back yard.
Side note: Joenel Aguero who is another top ranked S was CBd to LSU not long ago.

Bama been the favorite for this kid sense he hooked up with the barber from Amite….If we’re to land Derek we have a tough battle ahead. Love the kid but I think he’ll transition to an outside linebacker in the future as well.

Personally I don’t think he have a big say so on where the kids are going. My honest opinion, the community is very tight knit. What happened to Cory didn’t sit too well with anyone in the community so that could be part of it as well. Only my opinion.

The barber from Amite helped LSU get 2 kids last class and has been on LSU’s campus twice this spring

Does it hurt? Yeah. But I think most everybody will be happy with our projected safety haul of Joenel Aguero, Kylin Jackson, Ryan Yaites, and Michael Daughtery. Atleast it seems like we won't be left at the alter with this one as the staff has seemingly noticed this and thus has decided to push for Joenel instead or they have split their eggs between two baskets instead of all in on one.

I get the optics of losing top In state guy like him, but if we land Aquero does the Williams loss really matter all that much? We should always keep a big in state base, but we have been recruiting at a high clip nationally as well.

You are correct, I just heard him say that. I was surprised I thought he’d at least paid one or two of those 168 5stars, but I guess not. At least we know now that Jimbo didn’t pay any of them either. They strictly went to A$M for their storied history of SEC championships and national prominence in college football. Thanks for clearing that up Coach Saban & Coach Jimbo, I was having a hard time explaining all this to my 11yr old. He will now play for his original ask: A lifetime supply of Captain CrunchBerries!
