Regardless, we should aggressively pursue CJ Wiley

Where do you see that? All I see is old predictions where he picked LSU over the predicted Notre Dame.
n

Was gonna say the same thing. Even on3 still had DJ Pickett favored to Oregon despite him commiting to lsu don’t think it’s updated

I agree with the On3 guys that his film isn’t that impressive anyway.

? here we go

I will say this, the one game I watched when he was on TV this season he was very underwhelming. At that time he was already committed to Lsu. If the rest of his season was similar to that game I could see the staff wanting to move on.

Francis reminds me of Duverney, the WR that killed LSU when we played Texas. Built like a running back and playing WR.

That’s a rlly good comp. Deebo is another player I see a lot of his game in

Well Meadows doesn’t qualify as “elite”. Not saying this now bc he’s wavering. Watched one of his games early in the year and he looked more like a TE

Duvernay was the 6A 100m champ of Texas iirc

Looks like we're about to lose one of our TEs to Cocky, so another reason we need Meadows.

Is meadows even that good?

I honestly don't put him up there with guys like french and Cunningham

I have been disappointed in hankton this cycle.

Yes he’s good. He’s not elite though. His game probably translates better to Big10 ball tbh

Almost feels like he committed to lsu just to go back to ND before signing day for more money, because when he committed it was sorta a surprise to lots of us!!

saw a little over a month ago that they were still pushing hard for him.

People can say whatever they want about Hankton, the WRs and other players on the team love that dude. Nabers, BTJ and Daniels spoke glowingly about him. Dont know what it is, but all i can see is that the NIL money must not be directed much towards that position. His track record of putting great WRs into the NFL is clearly playing out right now. He had 4 he recruited, and/or coached, go into the top 52 picks earlier this year.

There’s prob a handful of kids every year I would even call elite to begin with.

Hard to say if he will ever be elite but his size & ball tracking makes him pretty fool proof as a college prospect

Losing Lacy is gonna be tough.

Oh FFS

None of this year’s receivers will be super hard to replace. It will be addition by subtraction for most of them. I think it’s one of the more lackluster groups that we have had in the last 15 years.

Everybody’s fav ND fan here.

This is 100% connected to Underwood. ND was always a backup plan for Meadows and this visit came out of the blue the last week+. But the general feeling is that he’ll end up wherever Underwood does.

Anyway Meadows value is almost entirely in his upside/ceiling. He’ll need time to fig it out. Arguably the biggest boom or bust WR in class.

This comparison between Stewart and meadows is foolish.
I watched Stewart play in 4 separate games last year as a sophomore. Dude was clearly the best player on the field in all 4 games. There’s good type on him, whether you’ve seen it is another story.
Stewart is enjoying recruitment more than I would like (as a tiger fan) but questioning is ability or talent is just plain dumb.

Looks like he'll be attending the ND/FL State game next weekend rather than going to the LSU game. If he's smart, he'll stick with ND.

Meadows was a surprise commit and he’ll need a lot of development. Not sweating losing him, if we do.

And it’s WR. They’re everywhere in Louisiana.

How’s he gonna “stick with” a team he’s not even committed to?
