Well, hopefully LSU will make a stronger offer. Underwood needs a 5 star receiver

In the age of limitless NIL, can we please just be honest and call this what it is? It's not the old days where the media have to be vague about what's going on.

Need? No.

Would it be great to have? Definitely.

We haven't had a 5 star receiver since Kayshon in 2020, and we've been doing just fine.

Since it’s July, it means absolutely nothing

Delaying can only be good news for LSU

All of the insiders are saying that the delay is good for ND. Personally, I don't think the delay will change things if, in fact, we were gonna land him before the date changed, but based on the reporting there's nothing to indicate that it's GOOD news for us that the date changed.

Wiltfong says: "Had Meadows announced a pledge on the previously scheduled June 13, it looked like LSU was trending. The Tigers surged here recently as they put the full-court press on the prized pass-catcher. However, long-time leader Notre Dame spoke to the family on Tuesday and it was a conversation that thrusted them back into contention."

Mike Singer (a ND insider) says: "The vibe is that LSU led, but ND's push this week gave him so much to the point of him needing more time to make his decision. ... My read on that was Meadows was a near lock to LSU until the Irish made their push."

Note, however, that Singer also says "[t]he vibe is that Notre Dame is not overly optimistic right now; that was the vibe in talking with sources Thursday evening. If I were a betting man, I would go with LSU. But there's no telling what Meadows' camp will end up deciding. It feels like Alabama is fading, for what it's worth."

End of the day, if we secure his commitment and can end up with a WR class of something like Francis, Meadows, Ffrench + Wright, I, for one, will be ecstatic. And think that’s reason for people questioning Hankton to shut it.

Well yeah lol I am pretty sure everyone would be ecstatic if we landed two 5* WRs plus added wright

I'm legitimately not sure I've seen a single person questioning Hankton. Is this a thing?

Transparency would be nice wouldn’t it? But, no man. It’s about relationships didn’t you know ?

Yep…. Bunch of asshats on the pay sites bitching about his recruiting recently. Troll or not, just stupid.

ND fan here. He ain't going to South Bend unless something dramatically changes. In fact, they're gonna miss out on him, Hines, and Robinson. Teams are killing them with their WR track record and up front cash. UCLA is even gonna let Robinson play two ways. Regardless, Washington was Meadows' leader before KDB left for bama. ND was just on him early.

Obviously, we want this guy but I would bet a significant amount he wouldn’t be at LSU more than a year. How many guys have we grabbed from the West Coast through recruiting (not transfer portal) that have ended their college careers at LSU?

So do we just stop recruiting west of the Rockies then? Feels silly to just arbitrarily cut out 4-5 states with good talent over failures of past staffs.

If meadows signs with Lsu. Underwood or Nuss would have him 6'6...pimpton 6'6" trey Dez green 6'7 and Sampson 6'4 and billiot 6'3 etc....who you double teaming or covering one on one? Offense would be unstoppable
