I’m sure Harold Perkins will get something similar from the Aggies

Not sure where you got that exact number, but it’s safe to assume at least 5-7 million were spent on this class.

$400 to a 4 star 17 yr old kid who hasn’t proven a thing. That’s almost the NFL minimum.
This shite is insane.

I don’t believe that for 1 second.

I think part of this whole thing is that schools are way over exaggerating their NIL.

A few people on TOS said he is getting $400K and gets $100K per year. Aggies have deep pockets and a lot of money from boosters who are ready to buy a championship.

Rumor was the Nolen guy from Tenn got $600k, so this would make sense, IF TRUE.

Players choosing schools based solely on NIL payments will be more likely to transfer. Other schools will just up the ante. A&M will have a bunch in the portal in the next couple of years.

Sounds like double counting.
I would believe 400k over four years, probably with some sort of annual review/ renewal.

Ewers got 1.4 mill to come to Ohio St. Bryce Young got a mill before he played a snap at Bama. If QBs are going for a mill I could see a 5 star corner going for 400k.

Absolutely. I can’t wait to watch the chaos unfold with all those kids, their money, and their egos. Gonna be a toxic locker room once that 3rd and 4th loss happens.

Some of these kids without agents better be careful with what they sign. Some of these people throwing around money are going to put clauses in contracts wanting recoup for their money if the player doesn’t pan out or generate any true revenue for them

Are you serious? With NIL $$$ now being paid, these kids don't care about winning championships. They want the max amount now, playing time, and if they're good they know the NFL is the big payday.

NFL execs could givev2 shyts about what CFB team wins a title. They judt need film to evaluate (game film, win or lose) and the combine provides the measurable. Championships are for bragging rights of fans.

I hate the way NIL has been implemented but it is what it is. Either LSU will adapt or be left behind. Money has always been paid for players but now its in the open and the amounts are larger. Mix in the transfer portal and you have a recipe for disaster.
While fans are split on if bowl games are obsolete, to a lot of this kids winning a championship is too. What matters is how much they make and how much playing time they get.

Did he? No NIL laws were in place prior to July 2021 and nor was the new NCAA policy on NIL. So anything like that would have meant Young and Alabama would have been in violation of NCAA rules when Young enrolled in January 2020. Also still illegal when Young took his first snap vs Missouri in September 2020.

My guess is you're just repeat shite someone said with 0 real information or proof.

TLDR:

That is smart to divide it up over 4 years instead of a one time payment. Therefore if he bails, you don't take as big of a financial hit
