At least Dean and Jones are in state and it's somewhat believable they want to play close to home. I'm with the one or two others here that I doubt anything comes of it unless some big out of state flips happen last minute.

That program's under the microscope. They are flirting with a death sentence, but said frick it.

Well, good luck to them.

You would think our coaches could explain to them how careful they need to be signing there.

LSU can’t threaten their families jobs and livelihood like MS people can

Exactly. With the way today is going Bama may fight us tooth and nail to hold onto Williams now too.

As it stands now (considering that Hampton is gone to the MLB) we may only have 4 corners who will be able to contribute next year. I'm not counting on Mannie Netherly panning out at corner. That is thin depth chart to say the least. Especially with how injuries played out this year.

Yea I’m hoping it doesn’t happen even though we need big time recruits.

If you believe this, then there will be a story about it sooner than later. It's a bidding thing, not a threatening livelihood thing.

For what it's worth, Dean isn't getting any new Ole Miss predictions. His latest one was this morning and for Georgia.

Kind of admire Ole Miss here. We all know everybody else is playing dirty, in some kind of way. Ole Miss was forced to play it clean and you see the end result on the field. Now they are saying frick it. We know we are cheating, you know we are cheating, the NCAA knows we are cheating, come do something about it if you can.

What's the better option? Play it straight up, sign nobody and suck....or play the recruiting game, pull in some talent, and hope the NCAA doesn't come down on you too hard when you get caught.

Ole Miss mods put the "shades" on for both. Sounds to me like they are both going to Ole Miss.

For me it's the shadiness of it. Jones looked to be wrapped up then this morning happened. Doesn't matter where he's from or which school he ends up at. Same reason why I respect someone like Cameron Robinson more than the last minute flip surprised.

I realize we get those too but we can't all be in an ivory tower

Dean I couldn't care less about. He was pretty much a pipe dream.

Exactly!

It's plausible that a great player just wanted to say home and play for his state school. The skepticism comes when you start signing big time guys from other states with seemingly no logical connection to Ole Miss

Yes but why risk this? They are still on probation and they have Fat Luke as a head coach. They could sign the number 1 player at every position for 4 years straight and couldn’t go better than 7-5 or 8-4 with them.

Or like when a homeless kid is taken in by Ole Miss boosters and they end up getting him through high school and he ends up at Ole Miss

The two kids are teammates from a MS school only 70 miles from Ole Miss campus

This isnt that crazy that they may want to be in-state heroes

Hell, its what this board begs and pleads of the Louisiana guys

Dean is so good that he could go to delta valley and probably get drafted.

Jones is raw and needs more coaching, which is what makes choosing ole miss so fuggin stupid

To a school that on probation and you haven’t even met their defensive coordinator yet? Yeah, I’m buying it.
