I guess the mosconas of the world are happy but this is gonna kill the interest for many people

I can't really understand why media people are so hyped/excited by what this has all become. It's like driving a train off a cliff.

What reason does a LSU fan have to be excited/happy that a player gets paid more to go to a different team?

They're not getting him. His deal is pretty much set in stone with LSU. I'm sure many schools want him to flip. This sounds like Oregon trying to make LSU pay more so they'll get off their recruits.

They are also offering massive amounts of money to the kid’s family (including grandparents and cousins) too.

This can’t be true.

Oregon doesn't have to engage in this kind of trickery.
It is getting our other recruits anyway...

Underwood hasn't publicly wavered so far. I do think it's extremely important we produce at a high level on offense this year and we get a stud WR committed for 2025 to seal the deal.

Stop buying Nike shite, then this shite will begin to slow down.

I stopped years ago due to their liberal ways...

Naw I love nike items i will continue to buy them. If you think a few 100 folks on here not buying nike items is going hurt them NIL wise, I'm sorry to tell you it will not affect them at all. LSU is a nike school also and the school will continue to do business with them.

You act like nike is some mom and pops shop. Lol

The thing is, they're not getting generational wealth. Jayden, Malik, and Brian will be getting generational wealth from the development they received at LSU.

These kids and families are taking these NIL deals now for fast cash and not playing the long game. I have a feeling Underwood and his family understand the big picture. That's why he committed and shut things down early.

LSU and others that wear Nike should switch to Adidas. Time to boycott them in order to level the field. We are doing it to ourselves.

This could have just been a coincidence, but it’s interesting that this is reported right around the time the TAF is partnering officially with the collective.

he's also a 17 year old kid and would have the potential to put himself and his family on the road to generational wealth at an earlier age. to think he wouldn't consider a massive bag offer from oregon is silly.
Remind me if im wrong, but wasn't it implied that LSU was all in on Dante Moore two years ago? If im not mistaken, wasn't that number around 2 mill? If LSU is offering two mill, are you telling Oregon is offering 4 mill? 10 mill?

I mean it's estimated Nico got 8 mill to go to Tennessee. I know Ewers is sitting on at least 2 mill from Texas if not more. Dante Moore didn't go to UCLA or Oregon for chump change either.

I understand more millions are more millions, but there is way more of a chance Underwood becomes a star and #1 pick at LSU before he becomes one at Oregon. That is not a broke family either. LSU has also just sent 2 heisman winners within a 5 year period that were the #1 and #2 picks in the draft. Bo Nix still has problems after 2 years with Oregon while Daniels is being seen as an immediate starter in the NFL. The development of both are worlds different.

I just do not see a kid who is already getting millions to come here, who talks about Sloan like he knows everything about the man, talks about LSU like he wants to move here right now, would leave over more instant money. Him and Harlem Berry and Shanklin now that i have heard him talk, just do not have that type of mentality IMO. Underwood and his father talked with all the knowledge of people that understand the bigger picture.

This, IMO, is nothing more than Oregon trying to stretch that greenback muscle. They are doing exactly what TAMU did a couple years ago.

Going to Oregon really hurt Justin Herbert, Penei Sewell, and Arik Armstead from making generational wealth.

because they are the hot name on the trail now. Now he's got the idiots on the boards riled up and we might get some dumbass fans on social media going after Underwood for something another dumbass is trying to spread.

Looks like Lanning and Knight are taking a dump on Dante Moore. Moore just transferred to Oregon along with Dylan Gabriel this past winter portal season, which caused their back-up Ty Thompson to transfer to Tulane.

Keep doing this to kids and the dollar amounts won't matter.
