re: Cypress to FSU

I was going to write a chunk of this verbatim, I couldn’t have said it better. LSU is using the portal in a different manner than FSU, and although I respect what they’re doing currently, they’re more reliant on it while LSU’s talent is primarily through the recruiting ranks. They’ll have a nice team, with nine or ten wins but the talent on the field clearly goes to LSU and the coaching, obviously, Kelly.
What some don’t realize is LSU’s development of some of these talents from smaller schools, Alexander under LSU’s strength and conditioning program and the overall guidance of a Kelly, Steeples, and staff will further his development into a serious SEC corner. I’m speculating here, but reasonably so, Harris anticipates this is his make-or-break move. He must succeed at LSU both on AND off the field to reach the next level. Should he stay level headed and guided by staff and friends/teammates like Perkins, he can be a first round talent. Harris was pegged as a mid-season All American, the talent is there, the discipline was not at A&M under Jimbo. Let’s see what Coach Kelly can do for him and his otherwise bright prospects.

Agree on this. LSU has had the best on field production for tbe 2022 recruiting class, in the nation. Perkins, Campbell, Jones, and possibly Taylor, all look like first round talents. Credit goes to the staff and the players and I anticipate more of this upcoming, especially with the defensive backs.

LSU better come more prepared for FSU than they did this past season because they're going to be a much better team.
Yeah because LSU is going to be terrible. Moronic takes where people spew shite with no thought are the best.

Moronic take?
LSU has the 130th ranked ST unit in the whole country. ST coordinator is coming back...
LSU is replacing both corners with a not so deep hound secondary against a tenured qb.
LSU has a Dline that has good interior but zero depth and ar edge.
LSU is returning a qb thay can't throw over the middle or deep (or he's terrified to do so)
Lsu is returning a mediocre at best running game with back that's can't stay healthy for a season.
It's not a moronic take if you actually look at objective facts.

Upgraded our returner at least

So no difference than lastyear.

Not don there yet, but we lose Roy in the interior and add Smith, Lee and Jefferson. If they can all contribute With Wingo and Guillory that’s better depth than last year.
Ends and edge players are a concern but honestly neither was a real producer.

We return 5/5 OL, and 1011 starters on offense. If you don think that’s huge idk what to tell you.

2023 DB room currently scares the shite out of me

No, but don’t let that ruin a good melt by the board geniuses
We’re in desperate need of CB’s and they whiffed on this one. Better find someone in the portal coming out of spring.

Lololololololol
When they gonna get a coach?

Some of you people are so negative I’m not sure how you get through the day
Most of them miss their boy Ed “shrimp boats and hoes” Orgeron. They loved having a knuckle dragging idiot as a head coach because he was “one of them”. Made them feel like they coukd one day be an LSU coach too.

It's a moronic take that the team that beat LSU last year is improving alongside LSU? Okay. Great logic there. Nobody said we would be terrible. Travis is arguably a better QB than Daniels and that's the same guy who shredded your defense that's replacing almost their entire secondary alongside several DL starters.
Their offense matches up well against LSU and like LSU, they should be good on offense. Their defense is expected to return several NFL level guys.

What the frick are you talking about? We already have a top 3 portal class with 2 freshman former 5 stars and have addressed the most glaring needs. They aren’t done yet.
At least pretend that you are paying attention.

There is nothing remotely objective in any of your rambling melts. They are your extremely negative subjective opinions and nothing more.

You don't know this. Staff movement won't take place until after bowl and some after late signing day

Our secondary is going to be just as deep and probably more naturally talented this year

LSU isn't done in the portal

You do realize this will probablly improve with Ol improvement since all the OL is coming back

I would have to disagree at RB. I don't think we're that talented there. It's a pretty glaring oversight, imo, even with the 2 incoming freshman. It has been weak the past 3 years the weakest it has been in decades. LSU always has a RB that pops off the screen on the roster. Nobody does that on the roster. Possibly Goodwin but you really don't know because he's injured every year.
If JD gets hurt the running game will be even more exposed at the lack of talent in the position. Really hope a big RB hits portal and LSU snags them. That position makes me nervous. A lot of depth there but nobody that's going to give you 1000 yard seasons in the SEC. Not convinced Jackson or Holly are that either but we'll see. They'll be grinders but they don't have that second gear to be elite. Emery has the physical tools to be there but he's a lost cause at this point.

We have 2 from the portal already.

More will join the portal after the championship and after spring ball. Maybe better ones with more eligibility.
