Harvey Williams was going to announce at his High School that he was going to Texas A&M. He heard some girls making fun of LSU and when he announced he said he was going to LSU! His first game as a True Freshman was against A&M in Tiger Stadium and he had a big catch from Tom Hodson!

I can't remember the name of the recruit, but it was before fax machines. You had to physically mail the LOI. Something about LSU tracking down the postal worker and getting the LOI before it was delivered to the other school.
