I forgot to post his stats from a couple of weeks ago against Pearce - not a great HS. Marcus HS won 52-14

C. Nussmeier (Jr) 16 of 21 240 yards. 1 TD Long. 53.
6 rushes 31 yards. 5.2 ypc Long 13

He didn’t play long. Went to backups pretty quick

I thought the family moved to Mandeville when pops got the Saints job? Did Colton stay in Texas?

Maybe he just wants to graduate with his friends? Unfinished business? Maybe he would have to sit out? Don’t know.
If I get a chance to ask him, I will.

ETA Tonight they are playing probably the best team they will face this year against their traditional rivals, Lewisville HS.
They are highly ranked and filled with college talent. 3 and 4*’s on both sides of the lines. Marcus only has Colton, since their linebacker went down with an injury.
They will face Guyer and Coppell HS later. Both always have lots of big time talent

FWIW - Continued from my last post -

Guyer has 2 4* and 3 3* this year as well as others going to smaller schools.
Last year they had signees with Wisconsin, Fla St and others
They produced Eli and Payton Bowen, Jackson Arnold, Ryan Yaites (signed with LSU) and many others. They just can’t seem to get it all together.

Lewisville has a defense riddled with D-1 prospects, including a 4* 2027 CB prospect. Tonight should be a test for T-Nuss

Played at Lewisville HS last night. #9 team in the state. Lost 33-28. Lewisville won with 11 seconds left.

Nuss rushed for 54 yards on 12 carries with a long of 17 yards. 1 fumble
The fumble was a result of a bad snap in the red zone

14-27 207 yards 2TD 1 int.

This was a special defense they were playing as I mentioned in a previous post. Nuss was on the run most of the night.

I found an interesting quote from the opposing coach: “(Nussmeier) is amazing,” Odle said. “Golly, he’s bigger, faster and stronger than I thought and I knew he was big, fast and strong.

Decent numbers but seems like tough game accuracy wise

Guyer has 3-4 state titles and are typically one of the 10 best teams in the state. They have it together

Imagine being an adult saying you’re tired of hearing
a last name regardless of what the other last name brings to the table.

He was injured last night against Guyer. Looked like a left knee.

He hurt his left knee back in the Spring during basketball season also. It’s probably unrelated, but could possibly be a lingering issue.

I’ve seen reports their offense fell apart after Nuss had to leave the game. They couldn’t move the ball at all.

I don't want any Nussmeiers anywhere near this program.
They are soft, mentally and physically.
