with the absolutely studly praise collins is getting, and with his reported super athleticism, he looks like a prime LT candidate

how-eva, it appears faulk is going to be our LT for the next 4 years, starting in 2010

assuming collins RS in 2011, that means he's projected to play 2 years at LT in his career

is faulk going to move to RT?

is collins going to play OG?

I think Collins can play anywhere on the line. I think we can't really tell what's gonna happen right now because we don't know where the need will be in 2 years

I was actually just wondering about this situation a few minutes ago after reading an OL thread on the rant. Based on the reports I've gotten on both it seems like the best move would be to shift Faulk to RT

Someone make a lineup for a future OL:

Collins-?-?-?-Faulk

I think someone like Davenport could be a really good guard.

if he is a legit 315 as a redshirting OT, he should

he can be 330 by next year easily, and we can move barksdale to LT and cross our fingers

By the time Collins and Faulk would be on the field together, Evan Washington will probably be at guard, as well as one of the OL that are redshirting now, Willaford or someone else. Trying to figure out a lineup that far out is difficult, especially at the C position. Hopefully, that Flowers kid from Texas would also be in the mix to play guard as well.

yes, he is two classes behind Faulk, so he would have to not redshirt to only have one year at LT if Faulk already established himself there.

Yeah you kinda missed on this one. I think faulk can play LT until Collins is ready and then switch sides.

I see Hardrick at LT next year with Faulk maybe getting some PT and taking over after Barksdale graduate.

I see Faulk sliding over to LT after Hardrick leaves and Collins at RT or LG.

I'll just assume that one plays left tackle and the other plays right tackle.

There's good, young talent on both lines. it'll be interesting to see how things develop over the next few years.

Thought I've read where Josh D was getting rave reviews at LT? If so and he's good there, could move Faulk to RT to replace Barksdale and Collins could be in line to replace Josh D. Have no idea where Hardricks fits in.
