Just curious, why would a high school do that ? Wouldn't you risk hurting your lower rated players ? Top colleges are not gonna hold a spot open until February for lower ranked kids . Or is this just an excuse ?

Sounds like a few guys wanting to hold out until February are going to be left out of the class. CEO now has LSU in a position of not playing games. The difference between the #1 and #8 player at any position at this age is negligable.
