We had Cooley returning on Day 1 Portal Tracker. Good to have them both back in the fold.

Hoping for a step up from Cooley next season. Good player, but many of the coverage busts this season involved him. I don’t know the calls or responsibilities obviously, but he was involved.
Would like to see him take a nice leap and become an all conference caliber guy, he has the talent

He's a good safety. I'm happy by this. Spears was also one of our highest graded defenders. It's interesting they don't have anyone really like Haulcy in the lineup right now. Are they going to slide Spears over and get another S? Maybe make Spears in a star role?
Cooley just needs to work on his tackling. That's the biggest inconsistency I saw with him this year but he's a good safety overall. Most of his dings in PFF grades were likely missed tackles and just straight busted coverages.

Same exact thing happened when I announced Trey’Dez was returning. Autocorrect freaked multiple people out thinking he quit football.

I expect Jimcoily has a shot to take Perkins spot at star. As much as he played as a true freshman, I expect they have high hopes for him. He has great measurables.
