how many state lifting championships does Hunter have?

I am no expert so I don't know.
Miles and Saban are recruiting experts though and neither has offered Hunter while both have offered Johnson.
Does that help?

Just got this message from a friend and Hunter's name isn't mentioned:
Well, the boys fell 5 points short at the state meet a few weeks ago finishing a close 2nd to Pineville, ending our 5 year streak of back to back championships. It wasn't without a hard fight though. After losing 7 seniors from one of the best WM teams in the history of the school we had to look towards some younger guys to take up the slack, and take it up they did. With a total of 2 freshman, 5 sophomores, 3 juniors, and 1 senior, this group of young men battled long and hard and gave everything they had. To go from 7 seniors to 7 under classmen, and still accomplish what they did is truly amazing, and I could not be more proud of them. Some notable lifters this year were Spencer Hutchinson our lone senior. Spencer won the 165 pound division totaling 1265 pounds. Jacob Tyson, a sophomore, won the 220 pound class with a squat of 585, a 320 bench, and 595 deadlift. Jacob is truly a talented lifter and I look for him to do some amazing things in the years to come. Finally one of our newest lifters, 9th grader Austin Cox was the 5A 114 Champion. Austin broke the 114 West Monroe School squat record by squating 300 lbs at the state meet. It was a 12 year old record previously held by J.J. Johnson at 290 lbs. This weekend the boy’s team, along with 4 lifters from the girl’s team will travel to nationals which are being held in Alexandria, LA this year. We will have a total of 24 lifters going, and I look for a different outcome than the state meet. As a team we have drastically improved over the last 5 weeks, along with getting 3 new lifters added to the team. I will be updating everyone on the National meet next week as well as unveiling our big news for the 2011 season. Until then...STAY STRONG!!

I have seen Chucky a couple of times in person, and I would say he is 6-foot.
He went to the FW Nike Combine, but if he happens to make BR Nike this weekend I will get a good look at where he is at.

Pretty sure he would have won both the 275 and HW powerlifting classes this year.
As a sophmore he squatted a raw 610lbs. Add a squat suit and he might have broken 700 AS A SOPHMORE. He also benched 320 as a sophmore.

It would have come down to deadlift. Mickey>Chucky on bench. Chucky>Mickey on squats.

Deadlift is usually higher or pretty close to your squat. So I think Hunter has an advantage.

Chucky Hunter Film for free
After watching his film, LSU is crazy to let this young man get away without an offer. Yes, he needs to work on technique, but most kids do. However, as you can see, he has tremendous potential.

I just talked to Chucky Hunter and he is 6'1" 290 lbs. He has not been offered by LSU but will keep his options open until Jan 11, 2011 when he makes his college choice. No one is out of the running, including LSU even though they have shown no interest.

He is the best DL I've ever seen at the high school level when it comes to sniffing out screens. Ridiculous to see a DT at that level sniff that out and blow it up EVERYTIME.

His film reminds me a bit of BoogerMac.

I hope that Hunter goes to TCU if he doesn't become a Tiger. He would be a great fit there.

I've been told that Hunter is not a holdback
He is NOT a holdback. He is 16 years old.

From what Ive been told. Him and Paul Turner are VERY good friends and are planning on staying together at college. My guess is TCU or M-State.

So Mickey Johnson is 2 years older than him. Maybe that's why he benches more.

It will be interesting to see how long LSU is willing to wait on Mickey Johnson. I didn't think his film was impressive enough to wait until signing day when there are guys like Hunter available.

Since he's 16 now, greyshirt candidate?
