no, we are on the brink of collapse.

last I heard about Cassius Marsh was an article about him being told to leave the practice field by a position coach and throwing a hissy fit. He had 2 sacks last year.

What ever happened to that guy?

He'll be a starter at UCLA this year.

I might be in the minority here, but I'm glad Lacouture is not going to be a part of our class. Flame away.

Texas recruiting is getting very interesting. we are supposed to be gearing up big time to go into Texas but no results so far. on the other hand, a bunch of oos schools are picking up texas commits. Its still early but interesting.

I'm actually relieved .... Im with you yetty .... sorry but I thought it would be a another one of those guys who we would eventually have to try to convert to OL 2-3 years down the road.

I was skeptical of Lacouture at first but I came around to him. I don't think it is a big loss. We will find someone as talented or more talented. But given 2-3 years I think he would have contributed here.

Caught me a little by suprise. Evidently he liked Nebraska more or felt more love from Nebraska.

I like Lacouture and wanted him but agree it's not a big loss. We have better kids on the board. Problem is that we have to land 2 more of those on the board. Word is that Lacouture was a priority to our staff but I'm beginning to question our inside guys. Too much conflicting info coming from all them in many different cases. Seems as though they're throwing shite against the wall and seeing what sticks. I can get that on TigerDroppings and the info would likely be more reliable. There aren't that many inside sources in the program for all these different views to be passed around and none seem to be getting anything right.

I fully agree. Inside reports used to be highly reliable. However, in the last 2-3 years, premium insider info has generally been nothing more than a crapshoot. My thought is too much fluctuation has entered the scene for guys to build consistent and reliable channels for info. Either that or competition has become too intense so people rely too much on unconfirmed or unsubstantiated info in an attempt to be the first to report. Or maybe they just can't keep up.

Pretty sure this one is over. His parents were with him in Lincoln this weekend for the announcement.

I like both Gilmore & Dawson much more than Lacouture. I think others still uncommitted will fare better in college.

Agree joker. I think most of the kids left on our board are better talents than Lacouture(though I do believe Lacouture has quite a bit of upside at DT). We have to land them though and since I'm a one in the hand over the wish of others type guy, I could see the purpose of taking him this early but it wasn't meant to be I suppose. I also believe Gilmore is ours to lose and think we'll get him but I'm always wary of NC kids with UF around. After that it just depends on who else we can get. Manning is the prize but we've got a lot of catching up to do even though we've been on him harder and longer than Oklahoma. A couple of the FL kids are good fits but I never trust FL kids until signing day. Frank Herron is the wildcard to me. I think he may be the most gifted of all the guys on the board but it will come down to if he wants to play DT or gains the bulk necessary to play it. I love that guy's talent and potential.

In a perfect world I'd like to see us take 3 committed DEs, 3 committed DTs, and one "strongside DE" that could develop and grow into a DT like Logan and Brokers. Herron would be great for that.
