5 star DB and that is going to put S. Carolina and TN in his top 8; but not LSU? Sounds suspicious.

If it were predominantly west coast type schools, I would have said it made sense to leave LSU out. But to choose 2 SEC schools further east than LSU with less credentials when it comes to overall program and DB success just seems odd.

Not trying to sound like "that guy," but maybe LSU cooled on him some for whatever reason.

He's pretty interested in Oregon right now. They are putting together a decent class. I don't know why, it's dumpster fire up there right now.

Yea seems really intrigued with Oregon. We win some, we lose some. That's recruiting for ya.

Would’ve been nice but always a long shot to pull a west coast kid. Time to move efforts and focus on geographically closer targets

They're putting in CB's for this Ryan Payne kid out of Diablo Valley JUCO in California to LSU now, so whether we cooled on Steele or not it looks like we're moving on.

I'm curious as to our interest in a JUCO kid at cornerback, though. Yes, we'll lose Greedy and Alexander but you'd think that between Fulton, Vincent, Kirklin, Netherly, Kelvin Joseph and the freshmen you expect to bring in (most prominently among that group being Stingley), you wouldn't need a JUCO kid.

Meh, Cali guys are always a tough pull but you still have to try.

You can have a low success rate at getting commitments but still get some nice players because there's such a high volume of good players from the state.

As far as Cali guys I sure hope we can pull the DE Thibodaux kid.

I actually can’t recall “winning” any significant contributors from Cali over the past many years at LSU.

Dude was never ever ever coming here....ever. thinking differently is not smart.

LSU for dbs is an honor..but we backed off big time on him.

Hes damn good though

We technically got Lavelle Hawkins once. I believe he attended a practice.

Rettig, Hawkins, Hicks suggested above.

So I’ll ask again...

When’s the last time we’ve had a Cali recruit actually contribute on the field at LSU?
