Houston bound

It's definitely Houston to lose. NIL is killing the sport.

Everyone thought the Oregon bag had Vyctorius Miller locked up too. There’s a long time until signing day in April. Unless he shuts his recruitment down, his commitment tomorrow doesn’t mean very much to be honest.

The fact he is doing this after NSD makes it seem like he wants it to be a bidding war until the spring

We really really need this kid. He’s not committing to us tomorrow, but we’ve learned the hard way that commitments don’t mean shite. We have like 5 months to flip him

I really want this kid. He is just what this roster needs.

Why do you blame NIL if he goes to Houston? It has been a much better program than LSU the past several years, don’t see NIL having anything to do with that choice if he makes it.

Exactly.
LSU is the "underdog" in this recruitment. Houston is the better program and their coaching staff arguably has deeper ties to New Orleans than LSU. Houston has done a really good job of recruiting Louisiana over the last several years. Hell, they currently have more players from Louisiana on their roster (3) than LSU does (2). If he doesn't sign with LSU it won't be because of NIL.
It would be a massive win for McMahon to sign him. The advantage LSU has is style of play. Houston plays a very tough, physical style, where they want their big men to be more rim-runners, shot blockers, aggressive rebounders in the 6'6 - 6'9 range. The guards are usually the focal point of the team. That's why you don't see a ton of Houston F/C on NBA rosters. They don't fit the NBA style of play. LSU/McMahon like big men who can step out and shoot/play on the perimeter. That has become more of the desired big man in the NBA.
Houston is the better program. Seven years of recent history says Houston is more likely to win big than LSU. But LSU's pitch is going to be if "you want to play a more NBA style as a big man, this is the better place."

I like your sales pitch.
