watch his head action.

very basic, but pretty damn impressive and could be a nice change of pace.

One word: Escapability!

I know it isn't a word but damn that's what separates great QB's from good QB's..Period.

Can't wait to see him play!

This Rettig/Jennings thing is going to get very interesting before it's over.

The thing I like most about AJ is his quick release, and his vision seems pretty good as well....all things we've lacked over the years, excited about this one!

Agree...I hope it doesn't become another JJ/JL thing but I have a strong feeling it will...unfortunately, once either one of them makes a mistake our crazy fanbase will call for the other one. Sometimes I hate our fans.

Four seconds of thinking and you could have concluded that was false. I'll give you four seconds to think of some hall of fame QBs with poor escapability....

Peyton Manning
Dan Marino
Dan Fouts
Hell, even Brees only has decent escapability.

Agreed. I think Jennings comes out on top when it's all said and done.

IMO not a good thing with CLM.. he'll just turn him into another JJ and try to run him.

We have backs that can run. We don't need a running QB. We do need a QB who can move around the pocket when under pressure or roll out if necessary, but we don't need a QB who can scramble. It will be another trainwreck.

Thankfully Jennings is more of a pocket passer, but... I'm hoping Rettig beats him out. Rettig has the same sort of elusiveness in the pocket but he seems less inclined to take off running the second his protections seem to waver.

Regardless, AJ looks pretty good as a passer. Excited for the pair.

ETA: After a little reconsidering I think you might have meant the same thing I did, so I will clarify. I am all for escapability, but I do not want a QB who chooses to run often.

He keeps his eyes downfield even under pressure. He shows a nice pass with just a flip of his wrist. I'd like to see some 10 yard outs rifled. It seems like he has the arm strength.

False

Very false..Brees is the best in the business of stepping up in the pocket and avoiding the rushers.

My statement was 100% accurate...

JJ had every chance in the world to show what he could do. He didn’t have the ability to complete accurate passes. That had nothing to do with CLM.
