What I want to know is why they quit playing us in basketball and baseball... didn't make any sense

Other than this current basketball season, HC has played you the past three seasons...
In baseball, HC has played you the past three seasons, as well as several times during the Legion season. It seems that Batt was always looking to play Chalmette, the current coach not sure? It doesn't look like they are scheduled to play during this upcoming prep season.

Rummel's (and John Curtis's) is the same as Riverdale's

yeah, 2 one run games with our stadium packed... i'd assume yall are getting plenty of our gate?

legion ball doesn't really count and it's dying anyway. I can't even find reliable schedules, and we don't even play it every year. what they should do is extend high school season into the summer so teams can play more different teams...

just admit it doesn't look good on your programs...

Maybe so, I was told that one your players was a transfer from HC because he wanted to play with Mitch, not sure who though...would have probably been the top player for HC this season. I think that in the past for basketball we have played Chalmette over the Christmas break, maybe there were scheduling issues that didn't line up for both, who knows. I think HC was in Florida at one point to a tourney...I have family that is very close with Mitch (was invited to go to Chicago during the summer for the All American game by his family) and they rave about the kid...congrats he sounds like a top notch kid with a good head on his shoulders.
As for not looking good for our program...TBH, other than playing Chalmette in football, the rivalry is not there. I know the current students don't really have the slightest clue of what the rivalry used to be when I attended HC and grew up in the parish..there isn't the attention given by students and alumni towards basketball and baseball as compared to football.

When did private schools get attendance zones? I went to school there with kids as far as Mandeville, Slidell and Bay St. Louis.

Are you implying HC is scared of Chalmette or some shite? HC barely even considers y'all a rival anymore.

Hahahahah, no way. You must have never seen any of the players mentioned play. Fields is highly highly over rated.

HC does have a terrible coach. We have alumni coaching major area high school teams and we settle for a Rummel grad who can't coach his way out of a paper bag

We use to have a strong academic and athletic reputation.

This may sting a bit, but while HC has some great top tier academic kids, their bottom tier is terrible. HC has 5A numbers again but I'm not so sure it is with quality numbers. We know it isn't quality athletic wise. It always bothered me that HC liked to look down at schools like Shaw and Rummel because they thought they were a Jesuit. Never understood it.

I was just fricking with Lester. If there is two things I know he is passionate about it is Rummel and Brandin Cooks

Who is the AD at Holy Cross ? Needs to get off the pot if he's not going to hire a good head football coach. This idea that there a soccer school (happy for those kids) but WTF ?

meh by your standard, no one has quality numbers outside of Jesuit and Mandeville

i can't speak too much about them, but i imagine the kids have a good experience competing for HC against top teams in good venues. they just don't win as often as people think they should, but that has to do with who they play too.

except for basketball, if you win the Catholic League, you have basically a 50/50 shot to win state. that's just how it is
