Get that but when you're ceiling is a mid round pick, which Helaires is, then it makes sense to jump.

I think Clyde made himself a lot of money on Saturday. I’m not so sure he can’t work his way into a second or third round pick.

I lean toward him coming back if LSU doesn’t win the hardware.

RB value has decreased. Good players go late in draft, some even Undrafted.

Consider a guy like Trayveon Willams led the SEC in rushing last year, 1700yds, and was a 6thRd pick. He was a really really good player.

I don't think Clyde's stock will ever be higher. The defenses we play will be able to key in on running backs a lot more next year with Burrow gone and Clyde just dominated Alabama on the biggest stage of his life. And NFL running backs need to get to that second contract as quickly as possible. Only so much tread on their tires.

Honestly, if I were him, I'd leave. He's a great kid and very smart, so he'll be fine if it doesn't work out, but I think he needs to take advantage of this season.

AGREE.... Throw in also, you will have a new starter at QB, in my opinion, BRENNAN WILL LIGHT IT UP, but when your stock is UP, you have to follow the $$$$ in this world, because it may not be there tomorrow.....

BRING US THAT TITLE CLYDE!!!!!

Again I completely agree with your points, however they make the case he should go. His value isn't gonna increase. He is way he is. That is, a short, very compact back with great vision, hole awareness and feet in the hole with very good reviewing skills. Pretty much the template for the modern day RB. Add in his secondary skills such as leadership and blitz pickup and you've got a 10 year pro that will make plenty of money. Also can help on returns.

All that said, I hope he does come back. I just don't think it happens
