Well Cam loves the Canada hire and his history with some great running backs and how he used them. It's going to come down to distance vs his love for Jimbo.

I think he was in a shitty situation and any way he handled it would be open to criticism, but he chose a particularly poor way of handling it. I would have mostly given coach speak on the matter.. something similar to:

So basically say not a damn thing. Les was great at that - could speak for 10 minutes and would say absolutely nothing. It can be frustrating to listen to as a fan, but sometimes its the best course of action.
At that point, O could go out and get the best OC available - lets say that is still Canada - 2 weeks earlier? Kiffin should have never been on the table. He was clearly looking for a HC gig and even if he struck out and did come here, it would have been for 1 year max. This is obvious since he was willing to take the FAU job for less than $1mm per year.
Word is we sold Akers on Kiffin being the OC. Now thats a problem for us. Both QBs looked elsewhere because lack of OC (Narcisse) or Os comments on offensive philosophy (Brennan). Every bit of that could have been avoided.
In the end, this isnt a huge problem, LSU will always be good at RB and we got both QBs back on board. But its absolutely fair criticism of his handling of the situation none the less.

He hasnt committed anywhere, but word leaked he informed the FSU staff he was committing on the 27th to them. CBs poured in for FSU before that, and then after the date was set it seemed everyone jumped on.

If its true that O promised Kiffin was coming (which sounds reasonable, in that it was widely reported that this was part of his "binder") then we lost serious credibility with the kid.
It really looks like Da Coach O has some egg on his face courtesy of Kiffin.

My sauces just told me Marvin Wilson and Akers are a package deal. He also said they are all LSU.

Yep, fortunately wasting all that time now appears to have not hurt us as bad in the QB dept as originally thought. However it clearly did at RB.

Now we can either learn from that and turn the volume up on Etienne NOW, or waste a week waiting on the inevitable. Granted it is the dead period, and we're in full bowl-prep mode, but still.
