Gotta give props to TC offensive coordinator....they came out the second half and hit Calvary in the mouth and they couldn't answer. Calvary depth definetly showed tonight! I think TC had more players on the sidelines than Calvary has in its high school lol offense did surprisingly alright with losing 3 D1 players...a lot to clean up but first game of the season I'm not to upset.

And I didn't intend that comment for you. It was intended solely for the guy who claimed Kelley's "lunch" would be eaten. Good luck to yall since you seem to be a fan of Calvary.

Went to the game. Kelly is hard to analyze. He has a big arm, but he does not move well. His delivery is slow (at 6'7", it 's hard not to be), and he is not well conditioned.
They had him off rhythm in the 1st half and he looked pedestrian. The 2nd half was much better. He makes the back shoulder throw down the sideline well.
He definitely has potential and can physically catch up to that frame. A good High School QB, but I'd pump the brakes on some of this hype.

I'm not hyping him at all...simply taking some fun jabs at a couple of posters who only came to this thread with rumor and innuendo about a teenager on an open forum with zero evidence because they have a problem with him, or more likely,, the school he attends. You give a good, fair assessment of his abilities and I have no problem with that.

Even if I did know any details, I wouldn't feel comfortable discussing the issues involving a teenager on a forum.
I know details, almost every detail.
I am perfectly happy with him going to ARKY.
On his best day, he probably wouldn't see the field at LSU.

or he might be another Mettenberger...

Not in my opinion, but who knows. For that to happen, he would have to change many things and become more athletic.

Congrats,...I am glad you are so well informed!

He has fallen in the rankings some.
Originally was a 88 3-star on 247 now an 85 3-star.

Are you kidding me?
I'm not on the Kelly bandwagon but he's easily way more athletic than Mettenberger and has a huge arm. I saw him put a 55 yard bomb & 51 yard bomb on the money in the jamboree. Also watched him get hit in the backfield by SL's 6'3 240 lb DE who's committed to Nicholls and proceed to drag him 8 yards down the field for a first down. Find me a more athletic 6'7 240 lb QB with a arm like Kelly. I'd love to watch that film.

LOL...no, you aren't "on" it, you ARE it.
So now he's better than an NFL starting qb. And he broke a Nichols freaking St commit's tackle.
Look, I said I'm glad he's going to Arky! He'll fit in perfect there.
He's not better than Mett.

Man you are retarded. I never said he's better than Mettenberger. I said he's more athletic than Mettenberger, which he is EASILY.

Didn't say he broke a tackle from a freaking Nicholls St commit. He drug a 240lb kid 8 yards for a first down. That 240lb Nicholls state commit has taken down plenty of big time river parish players in his time at SL he can play, he's not a scrub.
AGAIN, show me a video of a 6'7 240 lb QB that moved better than this. I would love to see it.

There was ONE play in there where he ran for a first. Don't be fooled, they showed it twice, second time from behind.
You don't think Mett or any other tall qb scrambled for athletic first downs in high school? Look, he's great. But please slow down on his running.
I like the kid. I like his father, Roger. I know almost every detail needed from the last 2.5 years of his life.
I'm super happy he's going OOS to college. It's the best fit for him, IMO

The play that broke down and he points receiver to go deep was very legit.

So you can only show your athleticism when you run for a first down? How bout at 2:53 when he shakes the defender then delivers the pass? or 3:52 when he runs for a TD? When the guy isn't throwing the ball he's typically running zone read. I'm still waiting for you to find me another video of another QB his size running as well as he does. You act like I'm saying he runs like Mike Vick. I'm saying he runs and is easily more athletic than Mettenberger (which isn't hard to do).
I just went find my game film from when we played Teurlings in basketball last season. Kelly was playing freaking guard and taking the ball down the court for them, but yeah he's not more athletic than Mettenberger. Wasn't playing against scrubs either, we were a 5a district champ team that's really athletic and pressed a great deal.

Like I said I'm not on the Kelly bandwagon. His delivery is a bit slow, then there's the off the field stuff always brought up, but arm strength & athleticism are not the reason he doesn't have an LSU offer, and won't be the reasons if he isn't successful in college. I just hope he doesn't make you eat your words for being so "super happy" he's going out of state.

Kelley also averaged over 20 points and was first team all-district in basketball in a good district.
