Making the 2 for 1 deal now were Rodney is part of the 2020 class is a lot lower risk than a 2 for 1 deal were Rodney comes in the 2019 class. If Ish does not pan out as worth two scholarships in 2019 then O can back off of Rodney. And a lot can happen in a season of playing JC for Roney. You never know, the kid could get hurt and his career is over and the scholarship is freed up or he could blowup and he is worth a scholarship. I'm hoping for the best.

No. Except for a couple of undersignings that can be used next year, there is no connection. There is no reason to save a scholarship for a specific 2020 player.

But my volume goes to 11. And 11 is more than 10.
It doesn't matter. There is no way to predict how recruiting will work out next year and how the numbers will play out. We already have highly recruited commitments for 2020. Why don't we save scholarships for them too?

I'm not advocating for or against Rodney or the package deal. Just some of the suggestions of how this could play out don't pass the smell test.

Only on a minor basis if we undersign. I've never heard of any team undersigning with that scholarship earmarked for a specific player the next year. We have several 2020 commitments already, why are we not saving scholarships for them?
