Let me start this out by saying I would love Nussmeier and I hope he’s apart of the class. That being said what happened with Williams? He was considered an LSU lean at one point and now he has 80% CB pick for OU. Was Brady leaving that much of a big deal? I hope to god we have a 2020 football season that way we can show 2019 was no fluke on offense. I think that would go a long way in gaining momentum with Williams again.

Truth is that ultimately, no one knows. When games are played...then we will all know. Some will choose to see what they want to see. IE. Offense takes a step back = Brady leaving. Others will be happy that we are not running the toss dive 3 times then punting.

Specific to high school kid trying to make the biggest decision of his young life....this is a convenient excuse to remove one of the potential choices.

My $.02

LSU lost their offensive genius to the Panthers so we are settling for Nuss

Nuss would be in the Top 5 all time for highest rated QBs to sign with LSU. I wouldn't characterize that as settling.

The recruitment of Williams is far from over. Yes he’s better than Nuss but getting Nuss would still be a great get. Obviously would love both of them in this class. As I said above as along as the 2020 season is played and we roll on offense again, I think we could still land Williams’ signature. frick OU btw they literally get whoever they want at QB along with OSU.

Let's take a look at some of the top 10 as it currently stands:

#1 - Russell Shepard
#4 - Brandon Harris

*Nuss would be here*

#5 - Lester Ricard
#7 - Hayden Rettig
#10 - Jerrad Randall

Holy crap I know our QB recruiting has been bad but that is horrendous. Good gracious we need to change this and hopefully it starts with Nuss and Williams.

I prefer Nuss to Williams. Nuss is a far superior passer with good legs. Williams is a great runner with moderate passing skills.

I wish you people would stop comparing Williams to Nuss . That’s like comparing a Toyota to a Bentley, Calab Williams can completely dominate a game he is the second coming of Tua stop drinking the Kool Aid .

And as far as we know Williams could be the next Russell Shepard.

Brady was not the offensive coordinator.
The OC is still here

they prefer Nuss because they don't want to get their hopes up with Williams. These idiots really want a QB 100 spots lower than the top overall QB LMAO

Didn’t Brennan end up a borderline top 100 guy?

Maybe Nuss is the next Haskins.
