He s the kind of kid that has two signing day ceremonies...kinda seems like he likes attention, so I wouldn’t TOTALLY rule out a troll based on character

Or maybe he really was torn between the two schools and was having second thoughts. I'm not saying he's flipping, but it doesn't mean he wants attention.
