I guess you would have turned down the 12 million dollars and leave your home state.

No, I've even said in the past that I would have taken the money. I don't know where you would get that idea, I said in my post that I don't dislike Underwood or Michigan. What i don't like is the current state of college athletics, and I'm all for situations that bring about an end to the highest bidder era of college sports.

It’s common knowledge that the $12M for Underwood came from one individual, not a collective.

Did you even read what I wrote? This was my entire point. The article is based on the (obviously incorrect) notion that all NIL money comes from collectives. My point was that there was no "hidden money" - this was just a case of Underwood getting NIL money from a source other than Michigan's collective.

I did. My point is that there was no reason to even speculate about the possible source of his NIL. It was well known that his money didn’t come from the collective. You only presented that as a possible explanation. I was simply stating it as fact, not speculation.

We will see if he’s a bust or success. But he had us riding high.

If the choice was getting him and standing pat with what we had with him being a freshman, or going out and getting serious about addressing needs in the portal, I’m on the latter.

We already went out and got an upside guy with starting experience to sit on the bench at QB. If we have success this season and have that much money and the willingness to spend it, we will be able to go starting QB hunting and get a good one if we need to.

Yea right. Your 18-year-old self would've taken the money.

Some people are willing to take a little less money for a better situation and long-term potential.

That kind of overpay is done to mask things like a shitty head coach who’s in over is head and a terrible offense that a freshman QB is being asked to instantly turn around.

Most Americans would because we’re incredibly shortsighted.

Personally though I’m better than you and wouldn’t have taken the money.
