best RB prospect since adrian peterson
no he's not.
its debatable if he's even the best running back in this class. i personally think he's the best in this class, but not since Peterson.

Bryce Brown please move on and good luck, brian butler sounds to much like an agent to me, anytime I hear a guys own coach bad mouth a recruit it throws up red flags LSU can do without a disruptive force on the team
Butler owns a website which is where he promotes BB and other high school athletes. He makes money off the website. What part of this makes him sound like an agent to you?

If he wants to come to LSU, you have to give him a chance- Seastrunk is far from a lock next year, & would soften the blow of not getting him. However, given a choice, I would take Seastrunk over Brown without any doubt...

The people that don't want this kid are crazy - OJ Mayo had a handler like this, and everything ended up fine.

I hope you were being sarcastic
I wasn't. What has happened to your program as a result of OJ Mayo?
Also, Mayo is definitely not the best example, just the first to pop into my head, but USC did make the tournament almost solely because of Mayo, didn't it?

The brothers skipped a football camp that Wichita East held before the 2007 season. During his junior season, Bryce Brown did not even stretch with his teammates, Byers said. Brown went with his teammates to a team camp at Pittsburg State last summer but did not participate because he was concerned about being hurt. Nonetheless, he piled up impressive statistics during the season, rushing for 1,850 yards and 31 touchdowns.
“It’s always been him and then everybody else,” Byers said. “Our team chemistry was nonexistent.”
I tried to tell some people here the other day that the kid was a primadona, but they didn't want to hear it. We don't need this dude.

Yes and now we're under investigation by the NCAA because his handler was feeding him money

That just shows how big of a tool the coach is. From what others (who actually know something of substance about the kid) have said, the coach is a really big dick and he changed the offense to get Brown less touches.
That shows he's a schlong and a half. He didn't kick the kid off the team, but just screwed him over?
I see both sides of the point, but I really think the blind are leading the blind in this situation. You are all feeding off of each others echoes.
We have a good stable of backs and if the kid is a bust, someone will step in to take his place. No one ever talks about have an "experienced" running back. It's all about talent. The reason Perriloux screwed us so bad is that QB is an "experience" position and we had none after he left.

+1
it's like most of the people dont get that.
not only was RP the starting QB (probably the worst position to lose a player), it probably was the worst timing ever for him to get kicked off. we jus happened to have nobody behind him, maybe a soph or another jr qb, and that made it even worse.
if the kid happens to be a bust/gets kicked off the team, it wont be a big deal because RB is probably the easiest position to replace somebody.

WAKE UP BRO. maybe you should use your fricking brain before you post
Hes making money off of a website, generated to give inside info on Bryce Brown. Hes not getting paid by the school that hes gonna play for. Know what your talking about before you post!

if Ford doesn't qualify, BB would be a great addition. With that said, IMO he won't sign anyway. We should take it as a serious compliment that the #1 player in the country wants "to check out LSU because of it's reputation." Evidently, his brother had zero interest in signing but was blown away by the visit. I just expect the same response here.
It's kinda like the dude at a bachelor party checking out the hottest bitch in the club before he goes on and marries the hag he is engaged too.

There is no debate. Anyone that would pick Trent Richardson, Lamar Miller, or even Michael Ford over Bryce Brown is an idiot.
And Bryce Brown is a better package/complete RB prospect than was Darrell Scott of 2008, or Noel Devine & Joe McKnight of 2007, or Chris Wells of 2006, or Jonathan Stewart of 2005. Name one RB that on paper was a better prospect than Bryce Brown is now...since 2004. There's a reason he is the first RB to be #1 overall since Adrian Peterson last was #1 overall.

Uh okay and Tennessee is closer to Kansas than Louisiana? I'd take this kid in a heartbeat if not just to piss Saban off and steal his mythical bullshite Rivals recruiting championship. Course those f'n Bama jock sniffers would probably lower Brown to a 2 star if he signed with us anyway.

well Trent Richardson had more yards than him this year. Ford rushed for more yards and the same amount of touchdowns.
i would call that debatable.

I see your point, and know that you actually agree with me, but to split hairs for the sake of splitting hairs, Bryce Brown is a far more electric gamebreaker running the ball, and can catch like Reggie Bush. Trent and Ford are not that dynamic despite what stats say, and that's not debatable. His all-around gamebreaking skills are the reason he is the first RB to be the #1 overall prospect since Adrian Peterson was in 2004.
