I find it absurd that people on here are questioning this kids character. I'm not saying it's questionable or it isn't, but I don't know, and neither do any of you. Nobody knows this kid, well except the poster who says he does, so let's just let this play bout and talk about his character again in a few years.

Who exactly knows nothing about him? I love how you assume nobody knows anything about him just because you don't.

I dont understand why everybody says throw BB under the bus. Over confidence can sometimes be a good thing. I think im going to have to trust Les with this one. IF he wants him, he takes him. Nuff said.

Everyone keep refering to this guy's "handler". This Butler guy was the same guy that handled his brother's recruitment correct? If so, wouldn't this guy be causing problems at Miami as well? I haven't heard anything negative coming from there.
Point being, this guy is not gonna be staying on campus wherever BB goes, so I don't see the problem as far as that goes. If BB has other character issues aside from this, then I can understand people not wanting us to get him. But, if this is what everyone is concerned about, I don't see the problem. I think he would be a great addition to this team. JMO

never understood the big deal with the Heisman. The goal should be to win Championships

I agree with your statement, but being the Heisman winner usually means you are on one of the best teams in the nation with a serious shot at the national title.

Listen, this kid is a phenom back. Doubt that and you're all delusional. Yes, the kid has some baggage, but so did Randle and J.Jackson but it didn't stop us from recruiting them. The kid's grades are in order and as far as anyone knows, he's a team player and not a character problem. I know Arthur Brown hasn't been a "program killer" at Miami and he has the same "advisor". I say give the kid a chance, I seriously doubt he comes here, but what the hell, I'd love to have his talent, if for nothing else. Here is the link to his "advisor's site" you will notice he spelled "their" wrong. For a guy that is supposedly soooo on the ball, you would think he would know how to spell they're. Just me anyway.

What happens to Bama's Rivals recruiting NC shirts if we land this guy?

We need to land this guy for this reason alone!!!

Seriously though, comparing this guy to RP is stupid. RP was a big time criminal. The worst I have heard about this guy is he slacks and likes attention... and some of that talk has even be discredited... I said some.

Do I think we land him. Right now I say no. BUT we have a chance albeit a small one. The biggest step is getting him to at least visit. Still not a done deal but sounds better than it did a couple of days ago.

If we get him to visit it will be his last visit I think. So that means we get to be the last school to make an impression. That is a good place to be! Chances are still long but they look better!

This story really tells it all I think.

Read it and make your own decisions. But think of this, you did not see any articles about Randall or Sheppard because they have no character issues to question.

I guess my question is, why has he waited so long to take his visits? What has he been doing while the rest of the country's recruits took their official visits?

Even if he came on a visit to LSU, he isn't the kind of player we need on the team

I think I will trust Les' judgement. He actually had a bigger part than I on winning the MNC.

So when does wanting to win the Hiseman a bad thing.

Do we just want to play 12 games next season?

he said we're in the running for his final VISIT...as in, we might be lucky if he decides to grace us with his presence for a weekend

I wouldn't call him a bust. Sure, he never lived up to his full potetnil, but the Saints got some good years out of him before he went really wacko.

i just started reading this thread didn't get passed the first page. And all i see is we don't want him, i'll pass, bring on lache next year etc, etc.

Ok i usually agree with the majority on here. But when the number 1 player in the country wants to come to lsu (possibly) at a position of need i might add, with good grades as well. Well what do you do???? YOU frickING MAKE ROOM FOR HIM! Does anybody here know him?? Is he as dumb as a bag of hammers or something?? Unless he is a rapist, or murder, arsonist, molesster, wife beater etc, you take him. If he becomes a huge distraction or problem you cutt him simple as that. But you ABSOLUTELY TAKE HIM and take a chance. Besides he might be one of the best guys you ever met, IF you met him. But everyone wants to judge when they really have no idea. This is why i like animals better then humans.
