i'd pick oregon and their super spread option

He has stated that he doesn't want to play in a spread. He wants a team that runs a lot of I-form and such.

[quote]isn't this the same kid who said he's going to go where he can win the Heisman his FRESH year?

Then he needs to go to Jacksonville St, where all the freshman Heisman winners go.

No I wouldn't. This guy has "Problem Child" written all over him. He's going to The U anyway. We'll find a good RB or 5. We always do. No more RP like premadonnas in the locker room PLEASE!

The only way it'd be worth him coming is if he brings Brian Butler- his trainer/agent/handler/molester/spiritual advisor along to help Miles with coaching.

Butler and Emmitt Randle could be co-offensive coordinators and devise schemes where RR and BB touch the ball every play. After the game, they go back to their private dormitory, built solely for them.

Thanks Mud.

In all honesty, it seems like Brown just likes the attention. He didn't sign on NSD, and now likes to go on these publicity tours throughout the nation.

One week he name drops LSU and gets everyone hot and lathered, then next week it'll be Miami or Oklahoma or USC. He's playing games and loving every minute of the media coverage.

I'll just leave this one up to Miles. Who knows, maybe had RP had a handler he would have just turned out to be publicity hound and not someone who kept ending up at the wrong place at the wrong time etc. etc. They could be two completely different personalities. For all we know Bryce Brown is a focused intense kid who brings it every play. We just don't know. Miles makes more good player decisions than he does bad decisions.

I know, I get that. Of course Miles has to pursue Brown and every other blue chip, 5 star athlete like a madman, because his job depends on it. It's what every fan, booster, and athletic director would expect him to do.

The reason why I question Brown's maturity and scruples in all this is because of the constant comments.

He says things like, "Oregon is where I want to be. It just feels right to be here."

Then, "I'm still committed to Miami"

Then he trots out how he totally sees himself at LSU.

This goes on for about 10 other universities. Why not say, "I'm considering several options and there are a lot of appealing choices."

He reminds me of a little high school cocktease that acts like she's going to put out for every guy, leading each one to actually think he's got a chance.

did we say that about Pryor last year just because he took extra time to decide?

miles has given him a call so we are definitely interested. its the top recruit in the country, we should want this guy whether he likes a lot of attention or not.

Oh, I don't disagree with any of that. I just think sometimes these guys make these early committments before they are ready and who knows maybe he really doesn't want to go to Miami for some reason and I agree he sounds like he's all over the place. But if wants to come to LSU and Miles wants him I'm going to assume Miles is as aware of the RP mess as anyone and believes this is different.

I totally agree. If this guy decides on LSU, I'll be thrilled and he'll have my total support until he does something to lose it.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I'm not buying the hype and the talk until it happens. I'm not hanging on every word he says and get all excited when he name drops LSU. He's not going to make me go over my cell minutes in attempts to reach all my homies and tell them, "DUDE, BROWN SAYS HE'S LOOKING HARD AT LSU!!!"

If he comes, awesome. Welcome aboard. But during this Brown sweepstakes, I'm refusing to play along.

I try to live my life by the simple mantra- What would Hasselhoff do? He'd keep his dignity intact, that's what he'd do.
