@Brewers select Santiago HS SS Brice Turang. m.mlb.com/video/topic/26… #MLBDraft

Never was a realistic chance he would make it to campus anyway

Pick value at 21 is 3 million his number is pretty high from what I understand and Brewers could go higher than 3 million. But I have to believe he is gone.

Deal with it, he ain't coming to LSU and realistically when he had been projected to go in the first round for the past year he was never coming!

If you have a chance to get 3MM guaranteed, you take it!

Have to agree.

You can put away 4 years worth of college tuition in a fund to grow interest so you can always fall back on free college.

actually he gets the 3 million and the team pays his college when he is done playing. That is how it works.

Teams don’t normally pull the trigger on drafting a player in the first round without an agreement in place, but it is worth noting that the Brewers have the sixth-smallest signing pool of the 30 clubs. Milwaukee has $6,611,900 to spend on its selections, which could make it difficult to go above slot value to sign Turang if he demands more than the assigned number.

Yeah, that's how I see it. That first pic is too valuable to waste on a gamble without doing you homework and talking to the guy.

SS isn’t the biggest need right now if Smith comes back healthy. For me the biggest needs are to keep Watson, Hess, Duplantis, and sanders maybe even Feduccia in the current team. Then signees we need to hope show up on campus are OF Elijah Cabell, pitchers Jaden Hill, Landon Marceaux, Levi Kelly, Cole Henry, then any other pitcher we can. But getting atleast 2 of the 4 big pitchers will be huge. Hopefully we can snag all 4. Will improve pitching all around so much and could put Hess back to his natural pitching position

Bregman was hurt his senior year and didn't play, if he had played his senior year in high school he would have never donned an LSU jersey. But that is history, we got lucky and I am glad for it. But Turang just got drafted in the first round, the downside vs upside on him coming to LSU is just too great he will never play for LSU that is just part of this business.

They have had several 1st round draft picks go to College the last few years . Word out of Milwaukee is that they want to give less than 3 Mil to save money for other picks.. if that is the case then Maybe Turang makes it to BR .. not getting my hopes up just seeing what happens! Kid says he Idolizes Bregman, could be just like him.. come to school end up top 2 pick never know

"The Brewers have failed to sign four of their first-round picks; Bill Bordley (1976), Alex Fernandez (1988), Kenny Henderson (1991), and Dylan Covey (2010)." - LINK
