On a side note, if recent rumblings come to fruition, BK gonna have a class total much closer to 310 vs the magical 300, that has never been done here before....New top 100 kids are now contacting US...it's flicking WILD !!!!!!!!!!!!

I never heard Sampson was thinking about pushing his commitment back, but it's possible I missed it.
Regardless, he didn't push his back while Kylin did, so I'm not really sure what point you're making here.

I’m just saying that we’re hearing a lot of stuff about them trying to get our targets late and they’re 0-1 so far so I’m not gonna worry too much.

310? I would love to see it (it would be LSU's highest rated class ever), but I'm not seeing how we get there.
Jackson, Prean, Chester, Heard, and Collins get us to 286.45. (likely)
Toviano gets us to 292.82. (looking likely)
Harbor would then get us to 299.73. (50/50 at this point)
If we flip Derek Williams, that gets us to 304.97. (unlikely)
We would then have to flip one of the elite CBs committed to A&M (Bravion Rogers or Jayvon Thomas) - which would put us at 309.47. Or miss out on Williams but flip both Thomas and Rogers (unlikely)
The mid 290s seems doable, which should position us for close to a top 5 finish.

Yeah, there were a couple of those panicky type threads. One guy heard his coach on the radio and got a bad feeling.
I usually try to watch what they do, and pushing a scheduled commitment ceremony back certainly isn't great for the team that supposedly leads. I'm not panicking and saying he's gone, but it seems we have a little more work to do to get him in the boat. I don't buy the video wasn't ready spin.
To me, he's either just building suspense, working for a better deal from LSU, or A&M legitimately gave him something to think about and he needs a few more days to mull it over.
Personally, I'm leaning towards a or b, but this is recruiting, so never rule out c.

Everyone on this board talks about how you have to look at the recruits actions to get an idea of where they’re leaning at the moment..well pushing back a commitment when he was originally penciled into LSU’s class should cause concern
“He’s just editing a video!!” That doesn’t take 5 days.. Maybe it will take five days to reshoot an A&M commitment video. But not editing an LSU commitment video if it’s already been shot.
There should be some concern here. A&M is desperate. LSU’s staff can’t lose out on him at this point. It’s not like T Curtis or Arch or Eli. Kylin wanted to come here. You have to get this win in recruiting along with Zalance and Collins

so we're just going to ignore that Rickie Collins is announcing Wednesday and they don't want to announce near the same time?
Maybe the video editing thing is BS, but nothing you said really made a valid point either.

I get Collins is announcing on Wednesday and its possible that it was pushed back because of this but i still think there is cause for concern here

I don’t get the angle of pushing back because of Collins.
Jackson had his announce date out there beginning of last week. Collins just put his out last night plus just decommitted. How would he be stealing Collins thunder?

I hope that's the case. But it just doesn't seem exactly plausible to 1) abruptly push back your commitment at the last second and 2) narrow down your list from 4 schools to 2 with one of the finalists being A&M who has pushed for Jackson's recruitment hard and has outbid LSU for instate recruits in the past.
Bottom line: I don't think it's unreasonable to say A&M directly played into delaying his commitment. But, unless we hear otherwise in the coming days, LSU's staff should regroup and get him to commit on the 13th.

How about both Jackson and Toviano making it to the LSU recruiting event on Friday but neither making it to the aggies pool party the next day. Sampson was at both.
