Why does anyone have a problem with this?

Because some people aren't happy unless they are bitching about something they probably do not understand to begin with. I'm not sure why some people even read this board or pull for LSU. It obviously makes them miserable.

It's a win win. It's a quality backup with experience. It doesn't count against our numbers it's like finding a hundred dollar bill on the ground. Pick the thing up
And rock on. Some of you morons would Think about it for 20 minutes. It's amazing how you take a gift and criticize it?

If RB was unhappy and wanted to get out of PSU way before the sanctions, then I think we should welcome him. I believe he will be fine if he is happy with his transfer and wants to be at LSU. Attitude and happiness can make all the difference in a player's performance. Not to mention being surrounded by the talent on the team and the Tiger coaching staff.

If he wants to contend for and win a NC, then he made a wise choice in coming down to the Bayou.

i feel bad for all of the penn state players, its a shitty situation for them and i would gladly take bolden...less has morals and a good heart and i know that this is a business but sometimes doing the right thing pays off in the long run. i am not a coach so i trust les and our staff

I guess some people are so miserable in their own lives, that they can't just be happy with giving a kid that has talent(may not have proved it on the field yet) a new opportunity. If he helps us win, great. If he rides the bench for two years, what does it matter. It certainly cannot hurt us to take him for 2012.

Or possibly because the guy just isn't that good.

I don't have a problem at all with Bolden joining the team if it still means that LSU has better backups available in case Mett goes down. I can see the value in an experienced guy working and pushing the younger QBs. I still would hope the two we already have are better than Bolden though.

He was just completely mentally lost and had no confidence whatsoever. He was consistently underthrowing receivers on short routes, throwing into double coverage on deep routes, making awful decisions when he did throw the ball, held onto the ball too long and took way too many unneseccary sacks.

So given past history, he will come in to run the short side option the first few games and will be starting by the third or fourth game.

LSU did not seek Bolden out so it's not a matter of LSU being a shark in the waters here. He and/or his father has some connection in Mich. that brought them to contact LSU first. Coach Krag knows exactly how good our 2 backups are entering this season, and if CLM is interested in an experienced QB who has played in 20 games, it should be safe to assume we need a good backup just in case. CLM got ripped for getting caught short with Perriloux's situation & now that he's being proactive, he's getting ripped again. But I doubt seriously he gives a crap.

There's no downside at all to this, only upside. All jokes aside, I don't get all of the bitching and moaning.

Change of scenery is going to be what this kid needs.

I watched the video on YouTube of all their offensive plays vs. Alabama last year. Bolden can play.

He should fill Liggins spot this season. He will count against the 85 for at least two years, maybe three if he redshirts.
