Its the same morons who think Nkmdichke going to Ole Miss is the same as LSU. LSU is on TV every week and sends half its junior class to the NFL. Ole Miss just keeps pointing to Patrick Willis, a true anomaly. You won't convince these fools.

Lawson should take the grayshirt offer from LSU before going to ULL. I could understand if he was going to another BCS school, but to bypass the preparation and training he would get for the NFL at LSU because he has to pay one semester out of pocket, seems like a killer in the long run. It just seems the smart move would be pay the fall tuition, get your scholy in the spring, and be set to try for the NFL where you make at least $250k/yr. Going to ULL would allow him to probably get full ride from the get go, but let's be honest, it would be an uphill battle for him to get to the NFL from there.

I think it would be stupid to go to ULL over LSU, especially for a girl. However this is flatly wrong. You guys are letting your LSU bias blind you to reality, The Starting QB's in the Super Bowl this weekend played for Nevada and Delaware. 1 was a first round pick and the other was a 2nd.

You sound like a flat earther calling people that say the earth is round morons. All you have to do is look at past NFL drafts. Current NFL rosters to see. More players from big schools like LSU get drafted, because those schools have more talented players. If your point that it is not talent, but rather coaching and developement, then it does not matter if LSU gets him or not.

That's QB's. They all come from small schools. You are letting your blind retardation get in the way if you think he will get better coaching and a better shot at the NFL at UL instead of LSU. This shouldn't even be an option. He better just be going for the night life which is great in Lafayette.

It is you that is the fool if you think LSU being on TV more means more to NFL scouts. The really amazing thing is how bad you guys are contradicting your selves. If natural talent doesn't matter, then why do you care if we get any of these players?

Does LSU get only guys from the top High Schools? If there are more top recruits from Barbe or Curtis or St Aug, does that mean guys from lesser HS's are anomolies.

It's not because they are on TV more, it's because week in and week out they compete and practice against the best in college football. It's not hard to believe that a player develops more at a school like LSU than the ULLs of college football.

Talent alone doesn't get you in the NFL, unless you are a guy like Adrian Peterson. That talent has to be developed, and a school like LSU has a better track record.

Jumping from high school to college is completely different than going from college to trying to fill one of the few spots on an NFL team.

If Boutte's girlfriend is pressuring him to go to ULL, she clearly doesn't have his best interests in mind. I'd say she's being selfish, demanding, and stubborn, but I think that's understood when we're talking about a female.

ProjectP, Men who think that sort of thing about women aren't real men. Sorry, but if you're young there's still time.

I don't even know how to responde to this

do you not even realize your own contradiction?

Anyway, I used that as an example because it is obvious and current. If you paid attention to the Sr bowl stuff last week, a kid named Eric Fisher from Central Michigan may be the #2 LT behind Joeckel from A&M. CBS ranks him the #6 player overall. He probably won't go # 6, and it is a long way to the draft, but barring some tragedy, he will go in the first.

I never said anything about better coaching, you are the one getting hung up on rankings. Most coaches started at places like ULL, so to assume the coaches there are bad and incapable of teaching him anything because it is a lesser program is just being blind or willfully ignorant.

Do you think Larry Coker is a bad coach? Look at how many guys on the Ravens and 49ers played for him and Miami and just in case you are going to say it was Butch Davis, Coker was the DC before becoming HC, so he recruited and coached those players either way.

If Boutte goes to ULL bc of a girl than that is pretty stupid. That being said, he is 18 yrs and 90% of 18 yr olds (myself included) are totally clueless and stupid so it is what it is.

For UL to even be in the conversation for these 2 studs is huge for the program. This never would have happened a few years ago. HUD has UL headed in the right direction. If I was an LSU fan (which I'm not) I wouldn't be worried about losing either of these guys, you have enough talent and will continue to get top talent. Where they go to school does not have that much of an impact on their draft status. If they are good, the NFL scouts will find them.

Those are nice bonuses, but not necessary. It could be a tie breaker, if you have players you think are equal, go with the big school player, though my comment was in response to someone talking about Nkimdiche going to OM. ULL is a step down, an BCS team like OM may not win as much as LSU, but a guy going to OM does not hurt his chances at all.

Talent is far and away the biggest factor. LSU has better track record because LSU gets more talented players to begin with. Again if you think it is all coaching and not talent, then it doesn't matter if we lose Boutte, we can just pluck some guy committed to La Tech and plug him in.

You are also acting like development stops in college. Pro coaches can develope as well and they don;t have the restrictions that they do in college.

You are missing the point of the anolgy. LSU will take more talented guys from small schools and bad teams over lesser talented guys from big schools, so will the NFL. In both cases the guys at the higher level will develope the player.

Sorry to let facts intrud on your beliefs, at least you are kind enough to let us know you are not interested in a discussion.

FTR, I think it is foolish for a player to opt for ULL over LSU because of his current girlfriend. I would question if a person that pussy whipped would succeed at a higher level.

Great points, but you'll never convince this band of misogynists and malcontents. Fortunately, they are a minority on here.
